Currently experiencing a bug where reading Book of the Stars does not count towards the Special Items & Powers collection, nor does it count for the achievement.

Probably the most important thing is that I did not read the Book of the Stars given to me by the Prize Machine; I sold that one (which I now regret). I've since tried purchasing the Book of Stars from both the Bookseller and Racoon Shop and reading those copies, neither of which have worked.

I am on windows, English, single-player. I've zipped and attached my save file.

Not gamebreaking or anything but I've noticed when fishing during squidfest Elliot can move while time is paused during the fishing minigame. All other npc's are frozen (Willie stops walking when minigame starts) but Elliot is still able to adjust his positioning on the boardwalk while time is frozen. Was able to duplicate multiple times so I don't believe it was a one off.

Game crashes at CalicoJack
  • Desert casino (high bid table)
  • No text error, game just immediately crashes when I alt+tab back in the game and use my controller.
    I encountered it 3-4 times by coincidence, I'm trying to recreate the crash intentionally but I can't recall the exact steps I took that causes it.

    Here's some of the similar steps that I took before my game crashed:
    - Use a controller to interact/ start playing high bid CalicoJack (I use aPS4 controller)
    - Play CalicoJack using controller
    - alt+tab out mid-game
    - alt+tab back in/ press the game icon on the Task Bar to return to the game
    - Play CalicoJack using the mouse
    - [Repeat tabbing in and out of the game, switching from controller to mouse]
    - [Somewhere either after pressing "Stand" / "Double or Nothing" / Arriving at the Results Page (you win/lose)] There's a short wait/loading where there's no UI and you can't press anything;
    - Any movement/ press of a button from the controller (to switch to controller use) will cause the game to crash without warning

(I will be updating if I manage to find the exact steps that causes the crash)

Whenever I'm on my horse and I get a cutscene (any cutscene, not specifically one), I'm dropped off next to my horse.
Not game-breaking by any means, just a detail. :smile:

Only effected first day, second day Pam was not at bus stop so I drove there. Don't know if that makes a difference. Missed first day.

Coincidental I have a (probably?) related problem. Bus unrestored, I had business with Sebastian on y2Spr15. He stayed in his room all day, despite his schedule stating he'd leave even if it was for half an hour.

Some of my items shipped aren't registering
I shipped a single copper, iron, gold, iridium, and refined quartz
Go to sleep
Check my shipment collections and it still shows I'm missing iron and gold

You can "water" the "water" in the Volcano. You need to charge up your watering can to get the extended range, then instead of refilling the can you can use the extended range to water the water. The water is just being treated with the same gimmick as the lava, where if you use your watering can you can use it as a bridge. No idea how long this has been in the game lmao. I mean you can even walk on it.

Hello all, after the release of the 1.6.5 update my modded saves now crashes my game upon opening. Once the save is clicked the game will freeze for a few seconds before crashing completely. Because of the instant crash I am also unable to provide an error log as the terminal shuts down upon the opening of the save. Any idea on the issue here? If not is there a way to revert my Stardew Valley to a previous update?

Hello!

First time player, been working on getting everyone to 10 hearts. I understand that in update 1.6.3 there was a bugfix for Emily's 10 heart event not triggering, however, my game is updated but I am still getting the bug. I have her at 10 hearts, I have done her 8 heart event already, it is Fall, and I have the Secret Woods unlocked. I've been trying to search everywhere for a solution but can't find one.

Information:

I am currently on Windows 10
English
Single-player
I have no mods installed and have never had any mods installed.

Hello! PC player, no mods.

I've provided 9 bundles to the raccoon family in the giant stump, and yet I never got the "Good Neighbors" achievement. Not sure what happened. Curious if others have seen the same thing.

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

UPDATE: ...and out of the blue I suddenly got the cutscene and achievement. Just had to wait for a new request to arrive. Never mind.

Hello,

The issue we ran into after the update was that one of our multiplayer saves now crashes and sends us back to the Steam library. No error message shows up and we don't use mods but we do use Item codes in all of our current game saves. We do have the error log file attached to this post.

I hope you can help us as we are in year 2 and are enjoying this save but if you can not we understand.

PC, some mods. Everytime I go into town my game either freezes or it loads half the town, freezes and breaks. I've tried uninstalling, verifying, no mods, with mods, everything I can think of. Seems to be coming from the games side not SMAPI but what do I know. Thanks

Reporting a bug:

I'm playing a multiplayer file with one other farmer, and we are running into an issue with the game repeatedly crashing, preventing us from progressing. We've never experienced crashing before, and we've played about 60 or 70 hours since 1.6 update, and we usually have no issues. Today, we played through 4 or 5 in-game days, but after the last one, between days, after the income screen, the game froze and crashed for my friend, and told me that the server connection dropped. This happened after we had both clicked "OK" on the profit screen, and continued onto the "Waiting for players x/2" page. We waited for a couple of seconds on "waiting for players 2/2", then her game crashed altogether. We repeated the day 3 or 4 times, and consistently, every time, her game crashed right then, before we could continue to the next day. I don't know if it is important, but we are experiencing this bug on winter 25, Year 2. She plays on windows 11.

Weird graphical overlap between the wall near the farm cave on the standard farm and the roof of the big shed. Windows 10, single-player, English.

u can lose FOREVER the advanced iridium fishing rod if u trow it to any type of water, make so that u can get it back on the mastery cave or from willy (like the other rods)

it cap happen in all SV versions
