Launching the game when plugged into my Surface Dock breaks it. I've got an LG ultrawide monitor connected to my dock. The game will launch and the full screen will go black with the startup music playing. Sometimes, I'll get flashes of the game, but as soon as I click on the window the screen will go black again. When I tried unplugging my laptop from my dock, the window starts auto resizing and will sometimes slide off the screen. Deleting startup_preferences did not help :( English, non-modded single-player, Windows 11

I didn’t get Leo to move to the Valley until after the update. Now he’s totally disappeared except for festivals. He’s never sleeping in either the treehouse or the island, and I check his schedule on the wiki and he’s not where he should be, he just vanished. I still need to finish making full friends with him so I can get the last few recipes he gives.

**UPDATE 5/14/24 -

Leo shows up now but only on Ginger Island. He’s never in the library with Penny, Jas and Vincent, or near his treehouse, or anywhere else in the Valley. He still shows up at festivals though. He does give updated dialogue about living in the Valley, and I got the cutscene that showed all his activities in the Valley.

It would be fun to see him actually in the Valley too but I’m glad that I can gift him again and increase my friendship rating.

not sure if this is a bug or actually a feature but when jumping down shafts in the skull cavern, enemies that are close enough can still damage u after u hit "jump in" on the text prompt during the short animation where u jump into the shaft. this doesn't happen with ladders since there's no text prompt to go down to the next floor nor is there an animation. i guess i was under the assumption that the screen is supposed to be frozen for that whole duration (meaning enemies cannot move) from when u interact with the shaft until you're on the next floor.

I got stuck in front of the giant stump behind the raccoons! I went to talk to the raccoon on the left and somehow ended up behind him and then I couldn't get back through. Tried moving through them in the same way you would a pet or NPC but it didn't do anything. Luckily I had a warp totem on me.

Playing via Steam on Mac. English. Single player.

Summary: Skull Cavern Treasure room empty after entering with previous treasure rooms full inventory pop-up screen

Description:
A user is in a Skull Cavern treasure room, and has accessed the chest with a full inventory. The chest produces an item that requires a free inventory space, displaying the chest's inventory and the user's inventory. When the user's character descends a stairway into another treasure room before the inventory screen freezes character movement, the second treasure room is empty when the inventory screens are closed - meaning, no treasure chest appears.

Pre-reqs:
Have a full inventory
Lay a stairway in the first suitable space directly above the treasure chest

Steps to reproduce:
Enter a Skull Cavern treasure room
Open the treasure chest in the middle of the room
Before the chest and character inventory screens freeze the character, descend through a stairway into another treasure room

Expected Result:
User closes the inventory screens and is able to interact with the next chest(s)

Observed Result:
User closes the inventory screens and there are no chests available

Notes: This save file was created before version 1.6

I accidentally posted in wrong forum but I encountered two issues both with skill books.

first issue is when I trade my mystery book to bookseller the mystery boxes don’t redeem like they are supposed to.
Second issue is some skill books (the combat and fishing) won’t register as “read” in my achievement area on the inventory menu. It’s still blank like I haven’t read them, just a shadow of a book still.
I play on windows and I also apologize for previously posting in wrong report forum.
I have same issue, with trading in books to Bookseller not giving me the items I should get back. I’m on Windows.

Stardew Valley v1.6.8 Windows (Steam) No mods

I've noticed a bug after a new day loads with message text in the lower left corner, like you pet loving you or the bookseller is in town, and you quit the game. When you load back in to that day the message that was there before you exited will no longer display.

Killed two mating slimes on a monster floor in the mines: floor 108. I have reached floor 120 if that matters. the slime.. dropped an oak end table for some reason?

Whenever I try to join my friends farm I crash. I have joined it before on day 1 and I recently got a new computer although all my other farms load still. The error code is

I don't know if this error is unique to 1.6, but I'm having weird results trying to grow tea plants in the greenhouse. I'm using the "optimal" tree layout from the wiki, and decided to plant tea plants in between. I waited for my apple trees to grow fully before plopping down two garden pots, and planting tea saplings. Today is the 22nd of Summer in my 2nd year and I went to harvest but nothing happened. No sound effect, no wiggle of the leaves, no item. As a last ditch effort I used a pickaxe on them, and the pot came up but the plant was still there. Then I could harvest the tea leaves just fine.

Notably this also *didn't happen* between the orange trees on the front left side of my greenhouse. Those are harvestable just fine with the gardening pots intact.

It looks like I can still cut the tea plants down with an axe as well so this isn't game breaking. Just a convenient bug :)

After returning Pierre's Missing Stocklist to Pierre, he's now selling two 'versions' of sunflower seeds - one for 200 gold, other one for 300 gold (they're absolutely identical and stackable), I don't know if it's correct, the season is summer. I understand that off-season seeds should be more expensive, but all the other seeds have only one version.

Small visual glitch: if you have the joja warehouse, in the fall there's this little pumpkin peeking out of the bottom left corner.

In the social tab, villagers who are at the island either do not display an animation or display a broken animation when clicked on. Sam blinks in and out of existence while holding his guitar.

Lewis's Fall 9 schedule (his doctor's appointment day) seems to be following Marnie's doctor's appointment day schedule by accident

I think Clint's profile has some issues. His walk cycles are replaced with either 2 Clints, or chopped up sprites of him hammering.
Plus, if you click on him with 4 hearts, he just stops moving.

In trying to reorganise my farm layout, I've found out that obelisks don't play nice with the cave on the standard farm.
And before someone asks: this is not restricted to the build menu; it's the same if you are there in person.

everytime I go fishing the sound when you are catching the fish is on going and doesn’t stop until I restart the app.

as well as I put an item in the community centre and the whole game has frozen on me.
