This is awful, translations are not correct. (eg. darling-亲爱的-小公主 “小公主” is "little princess", which doesn't match "darling"; handsome-英俊-小王子, “小王子” is "little prince", which doesn't match "handsome")

Translation refined should be a sophisticated work. Since Stardew Valley is a famous game with many Chinese players, they might reach a consensus of the original translation. So, any modification of the translation should be thought twice.

For the nickname, seriously, I just checked the Japanese version, and found that they simply translated all nicknames into just two words -- "ハニー" and "ダーリン" respectively. I think this could serve as a reference, then may consider translating those nicknames as "老婆" for females and "老公" for males, while using "亲爱的" for both genders. These may align better with the Chinese context and be more acceptable to Chinese players.

Hi, for what it's worth, I can't read Chinese, so reports on people insulting others and when people are being rude really helps! I understand this whole situation is upsetting and I get that tensions are up. Also, please don't assume that people who are upset here don't understand one way or another. They are entitled to their opinions just as you are with yours.
Everyone here: PLEASE be respectful in your criticism. You do not have to be happy with the translation and we welcome feedback about it, but do not make rude comments towards people who disagree with you or people in the team. At the end of the day, we all care a lot about this game. I understand your anger also comes from your love of the game, but trying to hurt others is not how to express that here. Thank you

Because the new translation team is very arrogant and uses a lot of contrived and controversial terms and so-called correct revisions, but has no respect for Chinese terminology or players.They simply shared with the video uploaders that they made a new Chinese localization of the game, pretentiously joined the feedback channel but didn't listen to the community's advice at all, and simply engaged in name-calling with the community on Chinese social media platforms.We're all wondering if the new translation team has actually played the game. Aside from a few corrections of old translation errors most of the changes were inappropriate.

The translation team contacted some video uploaders to notify players that the game had released a translation update, but they didn't take on board any comments from players or video uploaders.It's too arrogant.
I just wanted to let everyone know that we've been watching over this thread and I've passed a lot of the concerns about the translation to the dev team directly. The issues you all have brought to us are important. Please continue to point out errors or inconsistencies you think should be changed. Thank you

It's like they're avoiding suspicion and specifically going for unpopular words to translate to establish their authority.Like the 山岭(means mountains) they changed it to 山上(means top of the mountain) when players and video uploaders all think it should be changed back,they change it to 后山(means mountain of the back).omg.it's so weird!!!!!! I'm even worried that if the translation team sees my passages, they'll ignore my previously submitted revision requests!

Just like #111 said. The New Translation Team told players via the video uploader that there would be new translation updates. However, players’ opinions have not been publicly solicited on these websites before. Bilibili (Similar to Youtube. Bilibili uploader similar to Youtuber) ; Xiaohongshu (Female-oriented content publishing sites) ; Tieba (Silmilar to Reddit ,people discuss anything here ,like games,movies,music or anything they like)
Later, they turned a blind eye to the modification opinions posted by a large number of players on these websites. Instead of accepting the revision opinions head-on, they hide behind the uploader and let the uploader act as a shield.Most players accept the revision of previous incorrect translations, but some translations have no errors before, and some of them are already translations recognized by most people. Why should these translations that are recognized by most people and have no errors be modified?

I don't do any translations at all, sorry! None of my work is in the game, I'm just an administrator for these forums and I help with some other support-related things. I pass on issues and make sure they're getting to the right hands but I am not the one who makes the changes.
