Platform: iOS (confirmed on iPhone mini / small-screen devices)
Version: v1.6.15.1 build 25156
Control scheme: Invisible Joystick & 2 Buttons
Summary:
When using the "Invisible Joystick & 2 Buttons" control layout on small-screen iPhones (e.g., iPhone mini), the invisible Button A overlaps the on-screen Inventory button and the Journal (!) button. Tapping either of these UI buttons also registers as a Button A press, causing an unintended secondary action to fire along with the intended one.
Steps to Reproduce:
The Inventory menu opens briefly, then immediately closes and the chest's inventory opens instead. Presumably because the tap also registered as a Button A press, which triggers "open chest."
Expected behavior:
Only the Inventory menu should open. The on-screen Inventory/Journal button tap should not also register as a Button A (invisible joystick/action button) press.
Root cause (suspected):
The invisible Button A's hit area height appears to be hardcoded (not scaled to screen size), unlike its width, which is user-configurable. On larger devices there's enough vertical space that the invisible button doesn't overlap the Inventory/Journal buttons, so the issue doesn't surface. On smaller screens (e.g., iPhone mini), the fixed height causes the invisible button's hit area to overlap the Inventory and Journal buttons, so a single tap is registered by both.
Suggested fixes:

Tapping either of these UI buttons also registers as a Button A press, causing an unintended secondary action to fire along with the intended one.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Use a small-screen device (e.g., iPhone mini) where the invisible Button A region overlaps the Inventory button.
- Stand directly in front of a chest.
- Tap the Inventory (hamburger) button.

Suggested fixes:
- Input priority / hit-test exclusion: When a tap lands on a visible UI button (Inventory, Journal, etc.), it should be consumed entirely by that UI element and not also pass through to the invisible Button A hit area underneath. Overlapping UI buttons should take priority over the invisible action button.
- Configurable height: Allow users to customize the height of the invisible joystick/button area, the same way the width is already configurable, so players on small-screen devices can shrink it to avoid overlap.
