How Do I light Up My Farm?

I'm on winter year 5 rn and well my farm is super dark once it hits 6 pm.
I know that there aren't much options for light outside without the use of a lot of materials.
I know of street lamps but I don't want to smelt two bars of iron or something else each time I need to make some light.

And don't get me started about torches. Woods not a problem Ive got ton of that, it's the coal… somehow some way it's one of the rarest things in the game (—.—) it's a hundred g from Clint and ugh. Unknowingly I set the profit margin to %75
Thinking it would make everything 25 percent cheaper to buy thinking it would make the game easier. It did quite the opposite. :?

Any suggestions to help?

Thanks, Evelyn

I'd say torches are possibly the best solution, as they only cost 1 wood and 2 sap to make, and you usually get 3 of them when recycling soggy newspaper. I think you're thinking of braziers when you say torches.

Torches can be placed on top of sprinklers, indoors and outdoors, and on top of fence posts. You can place them behind bushes and trees to provide light without showing the source.

Torches are super cheap in early to mid game and you can put them on Fences and Sprinklers so they don't take up a valuable tile for Farming or Decorating. Once you're at Ginger, the Skull Brazier is a great option as I usually end up with tons of Bone Fragments but that's mid-late game. If you're OK with losing a bit of potential g from the needed Pumpkin, then the Jack-O-Lantern is a fun option too!

I find lighting my land up on fire lights up my farm the best-

For real, though, something I do to help light my farm is put campfires behind buildings. It lights up my farm really well and makes it so I don't have to see any campfires.

Heavily agree on hiding them, it's super easy, too, just place them anywhere behind a building, tall decorations, or even behind trees (for smaller light sources like torches).

My only advice would be to also put some stuff beside it so it isn't something you get stuck on while walking behind buildings, that's always super annoying
