How do I transfer my multiplayer character?

I was playing with a friend who was the server host, and I asked him to transfer the farm folder, and when I logged in, I was playing as his character. How can I play as my character instead of the host's character when transferring?

Your not supposed to do that. Your friend makes a farm and you join him using a IP. You can't use his save file to play multiplayer.

I meant that when I use his save file I want to play my character in the single-player mode that I played on his server.

I mean my point still stands. Your changing the host of the save. My point was that you need to be the host of the multiplayer save to play it singleplayer. Whether that be you changing yourself to be the host.

They're asking how to change the host of a farm.

Players are linked to particular multiplayer ids and locations within the file, which you need to change if you want someone elses file you played on as a farmhand to properly play as your own character.
