You mention that you are on iOS in another thread. Sorry, no mods for the likes of us.

No mods for Switch, or other consoles. It's mainly just for PC. I've read that some mods are available for mobiles, but compatibility can be hit and miss.

Unfortunately, you can't mod on most consoles. This isn't a ConcernedApe or game level choice at all; the way consoles are designed by the makers (Nintendo especially) they don't want to allow people to alter (or copy) their game files or code at all and breaking into the software to do so requires doing things that could permanently destroy the whole system.

Oh, and for the other question, mods are free. There's sometimes an option to donate (ko-fi or equivalent) but it is ALWAYS voluntary. If someone tries to sell you a mod you are in the WRONG place.

If you ever get a PC version of Stardew, and want to try, try and get them from a reputable site to avoid viruses. (Nexus has some issues in the background but it is a legitimate site and it checks for viruses regularly.) And start slow, not with the modpacks with 600 mods at once.

Honestly, PC (Steam or GOG) is hands down the best platform for modding, or Android if you don't mind messing around with compatibility a bit. If you really want to play with mods, just grab the PC version when it goes on sale, it drops in price pretty often.
