I've been playing an unmodded multiplayer farm with several friends via steam. We have been playing for quite a few months now. And I occasionally get a bug where my character loses all progress on things like Marlon's kill quests / quest rewards, Mastery points, character-tied upgrades (like the trash can upgrades), and all book-granted special powers. What's especially odd, is that even though all my Masteries reset to 0, I still retain *some* of the benefits. For example, I lost the ability to equip and unequip a combat trinket, yet I retain the benefits of the one I had equipped before this bug happened. I can no longer use the Blessing Statues for Farming or Mining, but I still retain all the recipes granted upon achieving the appropriate Mastery. This has happened 3 times now across this playthrough (which has spanned several in-game years), and I am able to regain the Mastery experience through continued play and many powers available from the Bookseller. Some powers can never be regained, though, like the Trash Can Book Power.
I am not sure if this is some sort of Synching issue with Steam. The bug always happens in between play sessions; I have never gone to sleep and awakened the next day missing Masteries and Powers. None of the play sessions prior to this bug happening were terminated early or via internet/power outages of any kind.
The people I am playing with have never had this bug themselves. They are also playing split-screen co-op in person together, while I connect to their farm. They always are the hosts. We are playing version 1.6.15 build 24356. I am inclined to believe the cause must be related to Steam and how it synchs / saves to the cloud. I am not entirely sure what I should upload since I have limited experience with multiplayer in Stardew. Do I have the save files I need to upload? Or do I need to request them from my friend who hosts the games? Thank you for any and all feedback!
