Thank you!You can plant it in winter. While it doesn't grow and spread during winter, it should spread a lot in the night between Winter 28 and Spring 1.

The wiki states that a normal sycthe will give you hay 50% of the time, gold will give you hay 75% of the time, and iridium will always give you hay
Thank you right now I have the normal scytheThe wiki states that a normal sycthe will give you hay 50% of the time, gold will give you hay 75% of the time, and iridium will always give you hay
you're welcomeOh, thank you very much!
How do I get more kegs? I currently have 1 because It was a rewardGrass only turns into hay if you have a silo. Wheat has a by-product that is hay. I have never had to buy hay and always sell my mayonnaise. One of the first things I try to get built for income is a preserves jar. Then the keg. I tend to process everything. But, in very early game I just keep fishing. It helps to fix the bridge at the beach so you can pick up coral and other items that are good money early game.
A keg needs wood, oak resin, a copper bar and an iron bar. They're really useful for earning money, but you only unlock the crafting recipe at level 8 farming. How do I get more kegs? I currently have 1 because It was a reward
Thank you, should I have the keg recipe by year 3?It is a crafted item. You get the recipe once you level up far enough in farming.
Thank you also what is best to throw in the keg I have? I just started year 2A keg needs wood, oak resin, a copper bar and an iron bar. They're really useful for earning money, but you only unlock the crafting recipe at level 8 farming.
You should probably have it by year 2 spring or summer.Thank you, should I have the keg recipe by year 3?
Alright that’s good since i just planted some cauliflowerYou should probably have it by year 2 spring or summer.
For the other question, cauliflower, pumpkins, melons, starfruit, really any high selling crop.
Thank you for the help, also how do I get preserve jars?Preserve jars are better for low-value crops/fruits, like parsnips, salmonberries, hot pepper and blueberries. In theory the breaking point to when the keg is more profitable for fruit is quite low (blueberries/apricots), while it's a bit higher for vegetables. However, since the preserve jars often work faster than the kegs, I tend to use the preserve jars for most produce other than high value fruits, coffee beans, hops, and wheat.
Ty!For fast money using the kegs to make coffee, and beer using wheat, is good because it doesn't take long to brew. Coffee just minutes and beer takes about a day.
You mainly craft them. The recipe for that is learned from Farming a lot earlier than the recipe for kegs, so if you don't have it already, you probably will have it soon. It does require a fair amount of resources. 50 wood, 40 stone, and 8 coal.Thank you for the help, also how do I get preserve jars?
