Community Wishlist for 1.7 Update

1. Starting a new game
I’d like to have better options for blond hair for the player character. It often looks slightly green, and it’s not possible to get the same blond color that Haley has.
I’d also like the option to directly type in the number you want instead of having to scroll between 1 and 99.
Additionally, I’d prefer the “Back” button to be smaller or the “OK” button to be bigger. I often finally feel comfortable with my character, only to accidentally click “Back” instead of “OK,” which forces me to start all over again.

2. Advanced options for later playthroughs
I think it would be great to have more advanced game options for later playthroughs. Remixed Bundles are fun, so maybe there could be other interesting variations as well.
Personally, I’d love a hard bundle mode. In this mode, you would have to complete all bundles, including the remixed ones.
To make it even more challenging, all possible items for a bundle could be required, not just a reduced selection (for example, the Exotic Foraging Bundle would require all 9 items).
Joja’s alternative could involve higher costs per community development project which now can be implemented with the lower profit margin.

3. Additional Junimo content
I’d also like the Junimos to move to the Secret Woods after you finish the secret bundle. There, they could ask you to complete additional bundles for them if you want to.
I imagine this as seasonal bundles, giving you something specific to work toward each season. These could be a bit more challenging, such as growing a giant cauliflower or completing other special tasks.

Here's an idea, what about adding some small boardgames that are public domain to share with people while playing online, tic tac toe, maybe chess, i dont know if thats too much work but only with chess you add up almost inifinite hours to the game and i really love chess. 😇

I would add, on a functional level, a better way to buy items in bulk on console. I recently lost a whole day in a co-op save buying wood for kegs!

I would also like true perfection noted somehow on the save file load screen. Maybe a stardrop icon?

And it would be great to have a record of what in-game day / season / year the farmer reached true perfection on each save.
I would love to see new fish and minerals to find in 1.7 but I also think a Bank of Stardew would be cool and great addition. You can save up for large items and tuck away money into an a count so you don't spend, maybe even get a little interest (but not so much you can just retire but reward financially prudent players), and conversely a system for taking loans that you can pay back with interest. For instance I found myself on spring 24 without the money to get the first rarecrow so I take a loan for $2,500 and end up having to pay back 4 or 5 grand for my lack of financial planning. You could have do dates on payments and penalties maybe even including repo animals and structures for failure to pay bills. Maybe your money could even go negative.

I feel like this could open up so much for the game adding money management having different accounts and ways to separate monies and gain interest or repay loans. I think it would have so many new and cool dynamics to the game. That being said, I have played the game 1700+ hours, reached 100% five times all and haven't tired of it yet.

This is just a small one to use up Mixed Flower Seeds which are great for planting in early game to save buying all the flower seeds but not so useful in mid to late game. Fiber Seeds recipe could be expanded to use either Mixed Seeds or Mixed Flower Seeds.

Yeah, none of those are even close to on my wishlist for the update, except the farm upgrade. Mostly ascetic crap that does nothing.

Why would people wish for asetics that simply change how they look, instead of functionality, or gameplay????

Maybe players could play against an NPC in the Community Center. Even just some simple games could be fun and you can win a fun prize like for the egg hunt.

He definitely does. The characters are player sexual and also there definitely up for interpretation. The fanfics and such would be damaged heavily lol. Also that be tedious to implement.
Maybe having the player be matchmaker for the other marriagables would help with that issue?

Send your children off to chase their dreams at the Wizard College, and watch your farm bloom in their absence. Some may return to tend the land, while others wander far and wide.
Every fall, once your children are toddlers, you can pay tuition to send them to the academy. After a year away, a child may choose to return as a farmer, guided by the love and bond you’ve built.
Chance of returning:
0–1 hearts → 0%
2–4 hearts → 20%
5–8 hearts → 50%
9–10 hearts → 70%
You can keep sending children until one chooses to come back, but only one may return permanently. The returning child moves into their own cabin on the farm, bringing enchanted gifts, stories of adventures, and subtle mastery in a skill they apprenticed in—tiny spells, enchanted crops, or whimsical tricks that help around the farm. With at least 8 hearts, this child is a big help; fewer hearts mean their magic is less reliable.
Once a year, all your children gather for a festive holiday reunion, filling the farm with laughter, mischief, and magic.
I like this with the idea of another person where the kids have set lifespan aging!

I seriously love stardew valley, I have been playing it for years and both of my daughters who are now grown have played for years too. My suggestion or my wish list thing for the 1.7 update if it comes out is more romanceable males in the game and I hope concernedape sees this but I have health problems now, I suffer from strokes, but I can't go into the door for mastery because I'm only two of five. I would like access to the room and then I can record my mastery individually. I'm asking this of you because I have strokes and now my right hand, I'm right handed, I cannot fish now one of my favorite things in the game but I can't do it now and I would like to be able to have mastery perks where I can use them like farming or combat mining you know what I mean. This is just been a problem for me for about 2 years but it's unfortunate that I can not have mastery perks. And for the first time in all of my playthroughs I had to go the JoJa route because I can't fill the fishing bundle. I know that's asking a lot but maybe there are other people out there that enjoy the game but cannot enjoy it completely. I'm not going to be doing skull caverns either because it's just too fast my brain does not process it. I really appreciate you taking the time, if you see this, to consider what I'm saying. I love your game and I'm so grateful that you continue to updated and do bug fixes. You're one of a kind and I truly appreciate it. Warmest regards, BJ Mae070

I've already put a lot of suggestions into the box in this forum, but I'll give a quick rundown.
1: crossplay multiplayer, dear stardrop lord please! I just wanna play with all my friends! Along the same vein, a pause game option for multiplayer, like the one in splitscreen, cause the days go wayy too fast when you're in multiplayer.
2: I want to be able to pet my animals more, not for friendship points, but maybe like happiness levels or something? Also it makes me really sad that I can't pat horses. Also ridable dinosaurs, pretty please.
3: spouces completely lose their whole routine when they marry you, and that's really sad, like I only romance Penny and Abigail because they're the only ones who don't lose anything by living with me. Spouces should be able to wander around the farm and have friends over, you could add an extra room specifically for your spouce to entertain people or something.
4: babies/children, yes I know there are mods to give them personalities, and let them go to school with the other kids, but that's only available for a small amount of the player base, and it's just really sad that kids bare no resemblance to the farmer or the spouse, and the fact I can't give them food or gifts is really sad to me. I wanna talk to my kids and ask about their days, I want them to grow, at least into Jas and Vincent aged minis.
5: No one ages or changes their rooms, even after they move out, no one ever mentions them moving in with you. Jas, Vincent, and
6: poly should be an option, because the npcs have so much chemistry with each other, it's not fair to keep them apart, like after you're married, people should start getting together, or at least some of them, Abby and Seb do not have chemistry, I don't get that ship, they got bestie energy.
7: please give us a way to make the greenhouse be sprinklered perfectly, my poor autistic soul suffers. Also it'd be cool if we could upgrade it, and move around the decorations.
8: this one is definitely a me problem, but when I first found an ostrich egg I didn't realise how rare it was and a sold it for full shipment, we're on year 8 and I still haven't found another (i got it in the spot by the palm tree) like maybe one could pawn there every three years? Also ridable ostrich would be hype.

That's most of them, but also it'd be awesome to release chicken plushies along side the update, and if you buy all four-brown, white, void, and blue, you get a free golden chicken

I’m sharing structured feedback and suggestions for Stardew Valley focused on social interactions, relationships, family life, and mobile quality-of-life. These systems already work well, and expanding them would significantly improve long-term engagement and immersion.

1. Expanded NPC Interactions and Relationships
• Add more dialogue variety for all villagers
• Include new post-marriage heart events
• Add seasonal and situation-based dialogue changes
• Continue small relationship storylines after marriage

2. Inviting NPCs to Hangouts (Event-Based)
• Allow inviting friends or partners to scheduled hangouts
• Saloon visits or town activity events together
• Special friendship or relationship mini-events
• Small group cutscenes similar to heart events or festivals

3. Social and Family Content Improvements
• More spouse interaction dialogue
• Seasonal family mini-events
• Extra friend and close-NPC interaction moments
• Small daily-life social scenes on the farm

4. Travel and Exploration (Optional Future Idea)
• Use train travel as special story events
• Gradually introduce limited new areas
• Add a few new characters tied to those places
• Keep exploration optional and calm-paced

5. Mobile Quality-of-Life Improvements
• Add cloud save support for mobile
• Improve visual day–night lighting transitions
• Minor UI polish for touch controls

6. PC-Style Day, Time, and Weather Display for Mobile
• Add compact day/time/weather panel like PC
• Make it toggleable in settings
• Keep it minimal and non-intrusive
• Help players plan schedules faster without opening menus

7. Player Children Growth and Interaction Improvements
• Allow children to grow to a slightly older stage
• Add more interaction options and dialogue
• Include festival appearances with parents
• Add small family-focused events

8. New Characters and Fresh Areas
• Introduce a small number of new NPCs
• Add at least one new explorable area
• Include related quests or story events
• Provide fresh content for long-term players

Thank you for continuing to support and improve Stardew Valley. Even small additions to social depth and quality-of-life features would make the world feel more alive over long playthroughs.

@all:

It's best to have an individual thread for each idea.
This collective thread is nice to get an overview, but it's bad for idea specific discussions!

So: make an individual thread for each idea and then - just additionally - maybe leave a link here in this thread.
More important are good tags in you idea thread!
So i need to put Individual thread for each Idea,Okay i will do as you say no problem just give me a time.
