Late Game Greenhouse

CA fixed the issue where fertilizer goes away when a non-regrowing plant is harvested, right? So starfruit +DRS in garden pots should work now, although it's still a little less convenient due to needing to buy seeds and having a different harvest cycle than ancient fruit.
Correct, so DRS will stay forever in the Greenhouse and on Ginger Island.

Also, pineapple has the same harvest cycle as ancient fruit, every 7 days, which is also just like your kegs that will process them. And pineapple seeds are practically free on Ginger Island. You find so many just from monster drops in the Volcano dungeon. I've never had to buy them, but if you wanted more than the drops give, another common drop in the Volcano dungeon (magma caps) can be traded for pineapple seeds too at the Island Trader when unlocked. And they're worth more than melons! It's perfect, actually.

the same day you fill your kegs with it. It makes it easy to plan your week.
The only reason I considered another is because I have sheds full of kegs for pineapples and my ancient fruit stash on the island. I could put more kegs in... guess that would be worth it.
live long and prosper at their own leisure,
This is okay too 🖖🖖 You should stick it out to the end at least once though! There are some fun little things that happen.

I did find almost all of them free, but I needed more for the scale I was planting on. I used the seed maker, was able to double the amount and more, so it worked out well and was quite inexpensive.

Yes, I did another ridiculously unsuccessful Skull Cavern run yesterday (actually 1 of 3 underwhelming SK dives), only making it to about Level 48 but I ended up with a Fruit Tree Sapling, however I don't remember which one it is.
I don't think any monsters drop fruit tree saplings except for banana and mango? Could be wrong. But I know you can get them from SC treasure chests, is that maybe where you got it from?

I'm not sure about the monster drop either, I've never had it happen. But I did get a cherry tree in the SC once, now that I think back. It's too bad though, because at that point in the game you don't really need it.

That is entirely possible as I got a single chest during the excursion and sorry, I don't remember what I got from it!

No Monsters drop Banana Saplings, but Tiger Slimes have a 0.5% chance to drop a Mango Sapling.

And yes, from Treasure Rooms, there is a 3.85% to receive a Sapling of the 6 originals, each having an equal chance. So, not a super reliable method of obtaining them, but you might get one or two, depending on how often you visit Skull Cavern.

Fortune, Connivence, whatever you want to call it.

The point here is that at least we're not monopolizing a whole town or anything with that fortune. That would be... wrong.

ik, I was just poking fun.
Good day.
Speaking of, though... if you want to generate 1B wealth... it will take some time. Investing in statues of endless convenience early, so that you have them long enough for them to pay for themselves and start generating profit, they actually might help you attain that. (I say this here because I'm not sure which thread to go looking for about you 1B goal, and the statues were brought up here. 😉)

It might, they take what, about 13ish years to pay for themselves, if harvested daily?

It's variable, but it's somewhere about there. I've always gone with the rough numbers that came out to ~12 years. Rounding could be the difference, or folks going a bit conservative in their assumptions for results.

Yeah, I will most likely be done quite a bit before they start generating any profit and daily time investment is just going to be another thing I will not be doing to try and cut back on time.
Plus If it takes them 13 years to make back their cost then even if I had a sheds worth then I'd only be making about 94,000g a day or 659,000 a week which is really childs numbers, for reference I will be making close to double that every day once up and running.
I could use them to make crystalariums but I already have the infrastructure to have pineapples and the're more handy in most regards for profitability.
