Meadowlands & Forest are my favorites, but sometimes I'm tempted to go back to Standard for all that extra crop-space and space to truly customize your farm layout. But then I'll miss the waterfalls and river of Meadowlands or the aesthetic & forage/hardwood of Forest. I'd love to know your opinions! :)

This is my opinion, exactly, too. I'm on Standard now precisely for the maximum customization and space.

LOL real!! what makes it your favorite over every other map? :D
• I like the nooks and crannies to design around
• I like the forced smaller area to farm in
• I like the randomly spawning forageables
• I like the early access to respawning hardwood with only the copper axe
• I like the stumps as options to design around in later game
• I like the overhanging treeline to soften the tall things like Obelisks, Silos, eventually the Golden Clock
• I like the GREEN
• I like a lot of water but it not being obstructive (Hill-Top, Riverland)
• For some reason I like the endless frustration at trying to reach that tiny inaccessible clearing at the bottom right of the map. It taunts me. It teases me. It conceals secrets that will change the meaning of existence. It's where Emily hides the Winter Star presents.

I like all of them for different reasons! As far as visual appeal goes, I think I like Meadowlands and Hilltop best. I also like the Beach farm, but as far as gameplay goes I tend to prefer the Forest and Riverland farms.

Forest farm because: I like the easy access to forage and hardwood, and also all the leaves and greenery just make it really pretty :)

Riverland farm because: I don't like watering crops, so being able to plant a ton of rice in spring without having to worry about watering cans or sprinklers is nice. I also like fishing a lot, so being able to fish right outside my door is another thing I like about it. Once I get later in game, I also think it might be fun to have different islands for different things, but I haven't gotten there yet.

I'd feel bad voting for two since I've only played on two standard farms so far, so I'm only voting for my favorite between the Riverlands and the Wilderness farms: the Riverlands! That one was really fun with the viable fishing whenever I felt like using a spare hour or two to fish for animal crackers. Its islands are very aesthetically pleasing, though not perfect for spamming fish ponds as you'd hope for a fishing-based farm layout. The pond in the middle of the Wilderness Farm was in just the wrong place to foil my extremely primitive first-playthrough attempts at a good farm layout. I'm very interested in trying Forest or Meadowlands next, going by the current poll results!

All of this is why I love the Forest map too, but I never noticed that tiny inaccessible clearing in the bottom right and now I will never be able to unsee it LMAO

Hilltop had to get one of my votes, considering it was the farm map I returned to for a more leisurely game aiming to go far beyond Perfection.

At first I had Meadowlands as my other vote, because of the chicken coop and blue grass, but then I was reminded of the Beach farm and changed my vote.

I do like most of the farms I've tried. Not so much the Wilderness farm but that could've been because I was getting fed up with competing against my past self on other farms. I've also never played Standard or 4 corners, which means they can't get my vote.
