Whats your favorite farm?

Thought this discussion could be helpful to new players but also im just interested. I use to only play on the river farm because i just think rivers are cool lmao and I am a big fan of fishing in the game, but i was struggling with laying out buildings and getting a bit annoyed by having to path through the bridges while walking around. I still love the river farm but i hopped on the wiki reading about all the farms for like an hour and decided on forest for my most recent game and its going great! I think the forest is my new favorite! I like how theres a few ponds that I can fish in and for cuteness factor. I really enjoy the fact that mushrooms and other foragables can spawn on the farm and im exctied about the layout im planning. The little divisions where the hardwood stumps spawn make for easy fencing in of animals and the ponds are good for that too. I think the wilderness farm could be fun so Ill probably try it out at some point. What is your favorite farm? Which farm are you playing on right now?

I'm currently playing on the forest farm because of the special weeds that always drop mixed seeds and I need that because I don't buy seeds from Pierre/Joja/Night Market/The oasis. Its a great farm, love how it looks. Pretty common choice it seems. Also you can put buildings near the edges where the leaves cover them a bit, which is a small detail but I really like that.
Beach is good for having a ton of space. I can fit all of my fish ponds there, though its a bit hard to make the farm look organized imo. Also the little corner with grass, not sand is nice, I planted some mystic trees there and let it overgrow into a forest and it looks great. The fishing spot there is neat, but I often forget about it. Rarely fish on the farm at all. Forageables and crates spawning is a cool bonus, but not thaaaat useful unless you're doing some specific challenge run.
Been a while since I played on meadowlands, I don't remember much but I do recall liking it. Might be my second favourite, but I'd need to revisit it to say for sure.
My top one is hill-top. I like how it splits into sections, and as the opposite of beach farm makes it easy to organize. No effort and it already looks not great but decent. Good enough. The quarry is not that helpful later, so I just put sheds there. Yeah my favourite farm and I don't have that much to say about it; I guess its so good its undescribable and only meant to be played ;p

Love your input! I do love the detail of being able to put building slightly under the tree edge in the forest farm. When i started up my most recent playthrough i really consider the hill top farm too but decided forest was more vibey lol

The thing to watch out for with the forest farm is the absolute bottom row. There seems to be at least one spot there that takes walkways and anything destructible placed there as a challenge and makes it produce a weed or other debris that spreads destruction. Either a constant struggle to keep things neat, or leave it empty and have to check it just at the start of each season.

Thinking of some specific farms river land was my first farm and most confusing also to manage my proper layout

I feel lile I see a lot of people choosing different farms for their first saves. I didn't even notice that option so I went on the standart and was soooo confused when I saw other types mentioned on the wiki xD

Well, I started the game with Meadowlands, bc of the Coop and the landscape and it's still my favourite. In other saves I tried Forest, Hilltop, Beach and currently Riverland. Hilltop is great, too, bc of the landscape. Beach is harder to manage since the sprinklers mostly don't work there, but great for decorations. Riverland is great for different areas to setup bc of the islands. The only one I got stucked was Forest Farm, although having hardwood around can help in early game.

I know that the gimmic of it, to put limitations on sprinklers in exchange offering more space, but I never had a problem with that. The field in the perfect size for me. The only complaint I have is that it's far from the farmhouse, but later in the game it stops being a problem because I don't bother with crops as much and can put fish ponds in front of the house which need to be visited daily.
So it really depends on if you like huge fields or not. I do but only if its wheat. I plant hundreds of it for rain to water and oh hey, the beach farm has just the space for that!

I feel like the beach has too much soace for me lol, in some ways i prefer the limited space of the river farm. Theres less decisions to make if things dont fit lol. From your perspective i tottally get the apeal though!

A huge chunk of space there is dedicated to animals by which I mean filled with grass that I never cut down. They're free to roam there I don't have any fencing to restrict them. So partially problem solved. I get what you mean by too much space, but you also don't need to really use all of it. I have yet to play on the riverlands, I think I'll like it because its restricting like hill top, just in a different way.

As soon as I get quality sprinklers the watering can is forgotten in a chest. Maybe use normal ones if you really hate it? I can't say I do, it just takes up too much time and energy.
