Getting to meet the alien from the strange capsule. Like maybe a quest appearing after the capsule breaks, saying like "weird! maybe I should investigate in my free time?" and to finish it the farmer would need to talk with lots of the people in the valley like following the alien around the valley.
Example: Talk to Pam - I saw a weird looking think run from your farm towards the village. On second thought maybe should not have drunk so much last night.
Talk to Emily - I sensed a weird presence in town don't really know what it was, but I think Abby might know more. Heard her talking to her friends about seeing something weird.

Then the farmer goes to the quarry and enters the cave (the one where the ladder that goes to the golden scythe) and in the corner is the alien.
then maybe you can talk with the alien and kind of get to be friends to with it and it gets to live in the cave. and it can sell you some futuristic and sci-fi decor.
