More Variety in Cooking! — More Uses for Existing Ingredients

I’d love to see more variety in cooking, especially by making more use of ingredients that already exist in the game!
For example, as a Japanese player, I’d especially love to see ikura and more sushi!

I have a few food ideas that I would love to see in Stardew Valley!

First, I would really love to see Salmon Roe represented as “ikura.” In Japan, salmon roe is commonly known as ikura, and it is a very familiar food that people often eat. I think it would be wonderful to have ikura as a distinct item in the game!

We already have Maki Roll, but I would also love to see more sushi. Rather than adding lots of individual sushi recipes, what about a Deluxe Sushi Platter made using ingredients that already exist in the game?

● Tuna ×1
● Salmon ×1
● Sea Urchin ×1
● Ikura (salmon roe) ×1
● Rice ×1
● Seaweed ×1

A fancy sushi platter could be a fun way to use these existing ingredients! There are also many villagers who like sashimi, so having a sushi party and sharing it with them would be so much fun. 🍣

I also think it would be a shame not to make better use of Sea Urchin, since we can already forage it.

And there are so many other possibilities using ingredients that already exist!

● Apple + Sugar → Candy Apple 🍎
● Strawberry + Sugar → Candy Strawberry 🍓
● Sweet Potato → Roasted Sweet Potato 🍠
● Corn → Grilled Corn or Popcorn 🌽
● Corn + Milk → Corn Soup 🌽🥛
● Potato + Carrot + Mayonnaise → Potato Salad 🥔🥕
● Wheat → Udon or Ramen 🍜
● Sugar → Cotton Candy 🍭 (I know it would normally be made with granulated sugar, but it would still be fun!)

I especially think Cotton Candy would be adorable to give to Jas and Vincent, or to your own children!

I don’t necessarily want hundreds of new recipes. I just think it would be really fun if some of the ingredients we already have had more uses and there was more variety in cooking.

I would love to see more ways to enjoy cooking in Stardew Valley! ✨🍣
