1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Upgraded the house for the first time. Moved the preserve jars into the new shed, the last building to be constructed in year 1. Bought the wood for both of those, and made preserve jars with what I had. Finally used up all the roe I got from the squid fest and night market. Of the 4 legendary fish I've caught, only the Glacierfish is without a pond, and the other three have been fairly generous with their roe. My kegs, all 5 of them, have been kept busy making pale ale and then beer all of Fall and Winter.

Bought the recipe for the fish smoker, and spent a few days fishing for a cave jelly to make one. Then completed the first raccoon quest. I accidentally turned the first tuna into the maki rolls I made for the community center. At least it wasn't my only tuna, and better the tuna than one of the lava eels I had in my backpack.

For once I remembered to make strawberry seeds in time, and plant coffee beans on day 1 of Spring. I usually forget at least one of the two. Also tried to not go overboard with how many seeds I bought, having been used to having larger fields. Still had quite a bunch of seeds left for the second planting. The two harvests I've had of my ancient fruit plant both turned into 3 seeds, which will help me fill the greenhouse sooner. So, yeah, I don't see much need for kegs yet, even if I'm gathering the materials to make them. Well, apart from wood since it's also needed for so many other things, so it's difficult to say what I'm gathering wood for. I ran out of fibers in Winter from making tree fertilizer.

Remembered to put out milk before the Winter Star festival. Too bad rice pudding, the only kind of porridge we can make, doesn't get the same response. Porridge is the traditional gift for Santa in Sweden. Well, it was originally a gift for the mythical farm helper, then society changed.

Had the Community Center restoration on the 3rd, then caught the Legend on day 4 year 2, and placed it in my 4th pond. Glacierfish remains pondless. Have started stacking items rather than selling them, leading to me feeling rather poor, even though I know I could just throw some of the stuff in the bin if I need more money than from cashing in on some of the completed quests, or sell to Pierre if I need money faster, now that his shop is open all days.

Found a holy blade in the mines, a few days before the desert festival, and brought it to the Skull Cavern. Makes mummies a bit easier to handle than with the obsidian blade. The +2 defense also helps. Found a prismatic shard down there on my first day, but unfortunately I'll need to wait until after the festival to use it. Bought 2 wallpapers with the calico eggs from answering the scholar's questions correctly, but I forgot to buy a rare seed from the travelling merchant. Hopefully I'll get enough iridium to restore the boat, either directly or from opening omni geodes. Would also be nice to get Combat 10, but I think it will take some more grinding in the mines afterwards to get it.

2 secret notes remain unfound. Unfortunately one of them is the one that lets me get the secret charm. I've got the rabbit's paw ready to go. A bit more daily luck would be nice. I've had quite a lot of bad luck days so far this spring.

Fetched the wizard's magic ink, but it will take quite a while before I can fully cash in on that and get the obelisks.

Dark Penny, who enables her mother's drinking problem, made an appearance.

Forgive the Spanish, my main goal for this farm was to improve my ability to understand it.

Next question: does Pam also like getting caught in the rain?

Okay! I have finally achieved 120 rabbits (118 elements, Periodic, and Table) and am now working on golden crackers for all of them. It is the middle of winter, so I have to get to spring to get a photo of the mass horde in the field. (I got a micro SD card, so hopefully I will have screenshots in a little bit.)

I got a lot of jelly on my farm.. A LOT. Literally as soon as I stepped into my shed I was immediately hit by the sight of all my preserves jars telling me that the jelly was ready. I also managed to spend 66 deluxe fertilizer on my small area of crops. Also, I might have accidentally Deluxe-Fertilizered my sprinkler, so hopefully it might grow into an iridium sprinkler (I used all of mine in the greenhouse so I don't have any left except the quality sprinklers). I looked in the fridge to see if I had any eggs to turn into mayonnaise and not only did I find 22 eggs, I also found that there was copper ore and coal in there as well as some iron ore. I wish I had put it directly into my crafting materials chest, there were exactly 67 pieces of copper ore :enraged:😡

Went to the desert to get the Galaxy Sword. Now I've won't feel as overwhelmed going down the Skull Cavern to get more iridium for tools and sprinklers. I think I'll still bring the holy sword, for the mummy floors.

Danced with Abigail at the Flower Festival. Still unsure whether to go with her, Leah, or Shane but she had the least amount of hearts among the three. I've had Shane's 8-heart event, and Emily's. Also got Jas and Vincent's springtime event.

Got Pam's Special Order and made a dozen kegs for her potato juice. (no special order from Evelyn though... )Then figured it was time to make a shed for the kegs too. The small sheds are laid out so it will be easy to make them look neat once they're upgraded, but before then they look rather awkward. Should plant a lot more trees if I want to fill the small sheds any time soon. Have been slacking off on that. On the other hand, the trees at the bus stop have been busy producing oak resin. I was lucky enough to get only oaks added from the green rain.

Repaired the boat but haven't gone to Ginger Island yet. I should get my tools upgraded a bit more before I go. A copper watering can will be a pain to wield in the volcano. I want at least steel so I can make walkways of a decent length. And I want to claim the reward for killing enough dust sprites before I enter the volcano. Double rolls on the monster drops will make it easier to gather dragon teeth. I've got plans for the Ginger Island farm, and am low-key preparing for that too.

any tips on how to get a bunch of potatoes in the middle of spring? also about how long does it take for potato juice to be made since I only have about 7-8 days left?

Hm, time is precious, potatos take 6 days to grow, with Deluxe Speed 5 days, with Agriculturist Profession 4 days. Getting the juice will take another 4 days. If you already have enough Fairy Dust to speed up the kegs, you may be successful. Otherwise just grow the potatos and store them until the quest comes up again.

luckily I had a few potatoes I had stored in the fridge for who knows how long (if not for the fact that Stardew Valley is a game they would have molded) and a few of the mixed seeds I planted on the first day of spring turned out to include potatoes, but I would need more hardwood for the kegs which I worked so hard to save up:cry:

Halfway through Summer of year 2, I've filled the small keg shed, upgraded it and added another 20 kegs. Trying to get it up to speed before the greenhouse is filled with ancient fruits. Preserve jar shed still small and not yet full, as I've been using my coal to smelt metal. Built a pond for the Glacierfish, but so far it's been a week with no roe. Wasted 60 hardwood on making two mini-obelisks so I can poof between farmhouse and southern exit, when I could've sold some of the processed stuff and used the just over 100 hardwood I had for upgrading the farmhouse. Oh well, the mahogany grove I've planted (and replanted after cutting) should get my hardwood supply back to what it was soon enough.

The raccoon's third request was one I could complete the same day. I had a bag of dried purple mushrooms, and the eggs are stacking up faster than my two mayonnaise makers can handle them as I seldom refill them more than once a day. Looking forward to when the raccoon trading shop expands further.

Upgraded the pickaxe to iridium with some difficulty, getting most of the iridium for it from omni geodes. Then went to the desert on the 14th to trade for staircases, catch some fish, and look for iridium. After getting 4 Sandfish and some green algae, I gave up on fishing and entered SC. So much easier to get around and locate a ladder or shaft now that I don't have to strike twice to remove a rock. Didn't want to use any staircases, and avoided using bombs, so most of the iridium I got came from purple slimes, especially the one that dropped an iridium bar. Reached my first mastery level when I was down there, but haven't had time to cash in on it because the phone needed charging.

Have seen Penny's 8-heart event, and Elliot has sent mail that his 8-heart event is ready to go.
