1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

I cry every new save until I unlock the mine carts. I will repeatedly bum rush the mines just to get them back. And then, because I just spent forever without them, I promptly forget that I have them and still run around for another week in-game.
I almost did that the day afterwards. I was about to run across town to open some geodes, when I zoomed out to look for forage, saw the mine cart and recalled that I had a faster route. A lot easier to remember it when going home from the mines.

My fishing oriented farmer is aiming at what I call extended perfection (perfection + all achievements). Ironically, the last book that he's still missing is "Jewels Of The Sea"… He reached fishing level 10 in a few days, caught Legend during Spring 1, does almost every fishing quest that is available, has golden crackers in all his legendary fish ponds, his farm is full of fish ponds… but he can't manage to find this book while fishing (and the bookseller seems to be stubborn and refuses to sell it).

Yesterday, he spent a lot of time fishing near the mountain lake for a quest from Demetrius, many chests: no book.
Today, he spent a good amount of time still near the mountain lake for another quest (still from Demetrius, who probably has a secret agenda to overthrow Willy). Plenty of chests, no book. And after that, my farmer headed to the beach for Squid Fest, where he caught all the required squids for that day, plus many bonus fishes. Again, a good amount of chests and no book...

This reminds me of my foraging oriented farmer, she had to cut down all trees in Cindersap forest and the whole valley countless of times before getting Woody's Secret, which was her last missing book for a loooooong time... Ironically.

Reached Farming 6 and made quality sprinklers. Built a coop and got two chickens. Prepared for the Trout Derby by placing a chest by Leah's cottage with some deluxe bait in it, and made a deluxe worm bin so I can let the bait stack up. A few more bundles got completed, but no rooms. Got a keg from one of the bundles, so now some pale ale is brewing for Pam's request.

Back in Spring I'd told myself that it didn't matter if I got the best reaction at the Luau, but the first harvest of cauliflower, from the museum reward seeds, gave me one with gold quality. Thanks to the Luau I've started to get a few 2-heart events with the singles. Gave Sam a Joja cola for his birthday (while he was at work) and got his missable 3-heart event. Still haven't decided who to go for, but there's a long time before I can give a bouquet to anyone.

Had mixed luck at the trout derby. Didn't have much luck first time around with about 2 other fish for each trout and 1 tag per 4 trout, then decided I shouldn't be trying to fish while at work, so I turned it off without saving. Second attempt I remembered to bring my bait maker along, and with turning 6 trout into bait I managed to get 11 tags on day 1. Spent day 2 making use of the remaining trout bait and then harvested moss around the forest. The derby made me reach Fishing 9.

Caught the Crimsonfish after buying the iridium rod, then had to make a bit of money without breaking my own rules too much to make a pond for her and still have enough for Fall seeds. Though if I catch the Angler early, I might put her into the pond instead, because the angler roe is cheaper and often more plentiful, and thus better for the fish farmer bundle. I've spent quite a bit on rare seeds this save. I think I've got 18 of them, and should get a 19th. I also caught a sturgeon with a treasure chest containing 2 roe, so now I can make caviar for both the shipping list and the missing bundle without having to make a sturgeon pond.

Looking forward to Fall, and the Special Order board. Also hoping I can fix the greenhouse before winter.

I got a lot of jelly from my preserve jars (starfruit, blueberry, and ancient fruit) and tried to spend a few days next to my mayonnaise machines to process my eggs. I sold some eggs to Pierre. Made it to Spring Year 4 and got a lot of crops growing. Hopefully I will get giant crops this time... Hurry up, cauliflowers! I also got a gold pickaxe and was able to open the meteorite that fell on my farm. Got a lot of wine and hardwood. Hopefully I will be able to make it to ginger island soon.

Put fertilizer on the rare seeds, and then got quality fertilizer from some mystery boxes... Oh well, they should still be good enough to raise my max energy, turn in for the bundle, and probably pay for restoring the bus and build a barn too.
Found my first broccoli seeds about 8 days into Fall. I was starting to worry that I might have to buy one from the travelling merchant or wait until year 2 to get one for the community center, even though they're normally so plentiful. It would've hurt if I'd have to wait until Fall year 2 to get the greenhouse.
Found dwarven scrolls 1-3. Now it's only the rarest drop left before I can talk to the dwarf. Got the sewer key too, in the first week of Fall, which surprised me a bit. Then again, I've had plenty of geodes, so I've donated quite a few minerals. I'll wait a few weeks hoping for a visit from the witch before I splurge on a void egg. I did buy a duck egg from the merchant for 700 G before upgrading the coop. Will save 500 G by hatching my own.
Turned in 15 angler roe to complete the fish farmer bundle. That hurt the wallet.

Starting to prepare for the fair. My grange will be rather poor, compared to what it will be in later years. Still have a good chance to beat Pierre.

Lots of things happening in the game today. Got the last dwarven scroll, from a group of dust sprites I decided would be the last for the day even if I had to use a totem to get home in time or even if I had to pay 1000 G for the delay. Was doing Clint's special order and had just completed the hunt for skeletons.

The second rainy day in Fall let me catch two walleyes for the last two fish tank bundles, as I had the quality fish bundle this time.

And got an ancient seed on the last day of hunting bug meat for Willy's special order. Just a few days before the restoration of the greenhouse.

Now that I've got a duck, I should soon be in a better position to complete Gus' special order without having to use almost all of the allotted days. Also set up a couple of mayonnaise makers since the chickens are mostly laying large eggs.

Ordered a barn built just after restoring the greenhouse, and didn't have to wait long for the wind storm event. Then sent my pickaxe to upgrade to gold, so I'll be able to get the meteor I've got laying around on my farm and work the quarry with less effort. Should have access to the quarry within the next few days since it just became winter.

Somehow completed Robin's Resource Rush for stone despite losing 3 days to the ice festival and the squidfest. Spent most of the Sunday spamming the first floor to farm boulders, and sometimes using bombs when there were a lot of small rocks, getting the 450 or so that remained.
Time to make the final upgrade to the barn. Hopefully I'll remember to buy the recipe for the big chest this time visit. Though with the newly completed special order, I might end up replacing the chests with big stone chests instead. I've kept Robin busy since some point in mid-Fall.
My 1 Ancient fruit plant a bit more than halfway grown. I used speed-gro on it to cut a few days. For now it's got company from a bunch of beets and some rhubarb.

Year 7 is almost over, and after achieving perfection, things are finally calming down a bit. I've completed a few minor quests, collected all the rare crows, created a small sculpture garden, reduced the chicken population a little in favor of the golden hens, and cut down most of the fern forest. In return, the orchard is being expanded bit by bit. Elliott is still a happy husband, even though he is often alone because the mines are simply more exciting than a poet engaged in walking meditation... 😏 Been at Lewis' for three times now to file divorce, but in the end always came back to stop it, Idk, it feels right in the morning, but doesn't when the day is over. Somehow strange 🤷

What are your goals now that you've achieved perfection? Collections, money, decoration?

Yes, in a way. I don't have any specific goals right now, but I'm doing the “small” quests that I've left undone so far, such as the Special Orders Board. And I'm switching the farm from necessity to convenience; making money is no longer the main focus. Let's see how long my patience lasts before I need to build a new farm...

Caught a stonefish, a skipjack and an ice pip. Only the Dorado remains of the finny-fish. Need to catch a shrimp to complete my collection of marine invertebrates and then move my crab pots to the mountain lake for the freshwater invertebrates.

Upgraded the house for the first time. Moved the preserve jars into the new shed, the last building to be constructed in year 1. Bought the wood for both of those, and made preserve jars with what I had. Finally used up all the roe I got from the squid fest and night market. Of the 4 legendary fish I've caught, only the Glacierfish is without a pond, and the other three have been fairly generous with their roe. My kegs, all 5 of them, have been kept busy making pale ale and then beer all of Fall and Winter.

Bought the recipe for the fish smoker, and spent a few days fishing for a cave jelly to make one. Then completed the first raccoon quest. I accidentally turned the first tuna into the maki rolls I made for the community center. At least it wasn't my only tuna, and better the tuna than one of the lava eels I had in my backpack.

For once I remembered to make strawberry seeds in time, and plant coffee beans on day 1 of Spring. I usually forget at least one of the two. Also tried to not go overboard with how many seeds I bought, having been used to having larger fields. Still had quite a bunch of seeds left for the second planting. The two harvests I've had of my ancient fruit plant both turned into 3 seeds, which will help me fill the greenhouse sooner. So, yeah, I don't see much need for kegs yet, even if I'm gathering the materials to make them. Well, apart from wood since it's also needed for so many other things, so it's difficult to say what I'm gathering wood for. I ran out of fibers in Winter from making tree fertilizer.

Remembered to put out milk before the Winter Star festival. Too bad rice pudding, the only kind of porridge we can make, doesn't get the same response. Porridge is the traditional gift for Santa in Sweden. Well, it was originally a gift for the mythical farm helper, then society changed.
