1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

In my new save to try out the Meadowlands farm I decided with some trepidation to marry Shane, since he loves chickens. Today was the Flower Festival, and it's the first time I've been able to dance with my intended in the first year! It's very convenient that Shane is easily found, has a birthday in Spring, and likes eggs. (In my other saves I've married Elliott twice and am romancing Leah once.)

Supposedly Shane and Haley are the easiest to romance in spring of year 1 because of their birthdays and preferred gifts -- Shane loves beer and is literally in the saloon every night, so the only cap is the two gifts per day. Haley is the only villager I've gotten to the dance, and it's usually a close-run thing.
