1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

I got a bit more inspiration to decorate today, and put lots of Doghouses, Cat trees and Birdhouses on my farm - I didn't know a bird can occasionally land on the birdhouse! That's so cute! Now I wonder what other animals I can potentially bring to my farm... I want it to be teeming with all sorts of animals now. I wish more animals can live on actual ponds and river sources (frogs, fish, etc.), but for now I will settle with what I have. Maybe I will set forth a plot of land to attract only crows...

On my new PS4 beach farm (Huntress Farm):
  • Halfway through Winter of year one.
  • Completed the community center.
  • Had a very successful Squidfest.
  • Reached ten hearts with Sebastian (and several others).
  • Hatched three ducks and have a fourth incubating.
  • Currently at level 110 in the mines. I stopped at level 100 for an hour to see if I could catch some cave jelly and caught a lava eel!
  • Continued my unplanned tradition of never hooking a single octopus all Summer and then catching one during the Night Market (caught three this time with no targeted bait or anything, I swear they're more prominent in Winter than Summer).
  • Completed construction of fish pond number six (twenty are planned -so far I have crabs; Angler; rainbow trout; sturgeon; octopus; lava eel).
  • Started the forrest friends quests.
  • Currently saving for second farmhouse upgrade.
  • Going to try to catch the Glacierfish next time I play.

Huntress Farm update:
  • Got the second farmhouse update so I don't have to navigate through a bunch of narrow passages between machines anymore. It's quite nice.
  • Reached the bottom of the mines and unlocked Skull Caverns.
  • Swapped a prismatic shard for the Galaxy Sword.
  • Completed the Ectoplasm quest for the Wizard.
  • Walked into the Mullners' house and triggered four cutscenes in a row.
  • Caught the Goby (I'd forgotten about it), Glacierfish, Mutant Carp, and a Slimejack.
  • Still Winter, so no mermaid pendant or final bundle.
  • Gave Pam Parsnip Soup for the Feast of the Winter Star and got a Muffin from Penny.
  • Currently focused on gathering hardwood and irridium ore to repair Willy's boat, building more fish ponds, and making more preserve jars to keep up with all the roe production.

I'm amused by the fact that my farmer's hair made her blend into the great dark void during Sebastian's ten heart cutscene. It looks like he's talking to a pair of disembodied legs. 😄

Whenever i find omni geodes, then its only clay or stone or coal in them
Try to find Artifact Troves! They gear more towards Artifacts than Omni Geodes. I found I always get a glutton ton of them on my trip to Ginger Island (and also I didn't know this but dogs apparently can give you them as well!)

On topic: for today, I am a bit regretting my cursed mannequin now that I'm seriously decorating my farm and dressing myself up - they kept stealing my outfit |:, but fortunately just interacting with them stole the outfit back for me. (I already dressed you guys well, gotta be more grateful :P). Thank goodness they can't steal outfits from Mannequins though... my bar's waiters deserve premium drip.

And surprisingly I used a lot of stuff from Joja Furniture... I didn't particular think I would because it's just too blue for me, and considering my house is a Red Theme (Heavily inspired by Penny's Strawberry Theme), but alas, nope, I had to get stuff from the forbidden catalogue.

I tried to raise a slime in the house to see what gonna happen!
first egg: I accidentally killed it cause I was wearing an arrow trinket and it explode (cause I'm wearing napalm ring) and erased all my craft items next to it (forge, slime egg incubator, anvil)
second egg: I think there is a bug cause the slime got stuck and can't move, like there was an imaginary wall, so I kill it (this time I make sure I removed all items around it lol)
third egg: Sebastian kick it and it died immediately! he said "MOVE!" and asked me why there are monsters in the house lol.
fourth egg: it attacked Sebastian and Sebastian got hurt (there was blood effect and Seb said ahhh!) and he killed it and asked me again about why there are monsters in the house lol.

I gonna raise a fifth one but this time I will put it somewhere in the house where Sebastian rarely visit (maybe the kitchen) and see if it can multiply before Sebastian killed it lol.
Um for poor Seb’s sake maybe raise them outside the house? lol! That would freak me out if I saw my in game spouse with blood coming out. I didn’t know that was even a thing!?!?

I’ve always done hutch breeding. Right outside the hutch I put a Junimo chest or regular chest and put all trinkets, weapons, rings in there except slime charmer obviously. Then enter.

My axe was at Clint's for the green rain event, poor planning on my part, but then I remembered I had a mastery waiting to be claimed in the little cave thing, so I went and got my upgraded scythe and spent the day scything down weeds. Got quite the good haul!
Great thinking! You saved the day after all!

Today, new single-day pb for Iridium Legend II: 23!

In other news, I'm now 2/3 of the way to my goal of having 1B worth of Diamonds.

One of my Cursed Mannequins moved right next to my bed yesterday morning, making it quite inconvenient for me. Is there any way to move them? I can't seem to "pick it up" or anything lol
Watch out if you reach 2147483647 gold, it may roll over to -2147483648 gold, being in debt due to int32 limits.

Today was a little awkward, as I got greedy and got 14 Junimo Huts :junimo:, and now my game starts lagging up a storm. I guess something about having 42 cute Junimos running up and down was a bit too much excitement for the Valley to handle. Curiously, the lag happens even if other maps are loaded (for example, Secret Woods, Town, etc.) and I have no idea why that would be the case considering they are on separate locations, unless the game tracks the movement of everyone at all times.

Anyway, some Junimos will unfortunately got to go... I just can't debate which cuties will be sacrificed to the demolition crew. :junicheer:

Today, I got to play Stardew for the first time in like a week. My tv broke and I finally got a replacement.
This is what I got from being a female. I suspect the other shirt it shows on the wiki is simply to show what part is dyeable, but whatevs.
Oh nice wb! Thanks for testing haha, I was going to get to testing that eventually, but now I don't need to!

I'm not very clear that dyeing had such pronounced effects... I thought it just changes colors not transform a whole sleeve to a shirt, but I haven't really explored that topic deep enough.
Since the wiki marks that shirt as "Dyeable (Sleeves only)", I guess your finding makes sense.
