1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

I noticed that too and I feel as if they last shorter on average than normal bubbles!
After going through 1 night in the sub, I found 3 bubbles in the time I had, and I had about 2-3 hours less than a full ride because I always go to the mermaid show every Winter 15 out of habit/courtesy/interest.

Now I'll have to remember to offload anything else I buy before going on the ride with a material income spike like this.

I spent TWO WHOLE DAYS fishing for sea jelly to get it and then the next day I fish up four in the span of 3 in-game hours when I wasn't looking for it!!
ARGH
Got the junimo catalogue, yipee! (Only the trash catalogue left now.) Still singlehandedly growing the Cindersnap forest's racoon population. The cursed mannequin has yet to do anything to me... No giant powdermelon which is a shame. Finally made it to spring (now on year 13 woohoo!), only one thing left to craft and I'll be back at 100% perfection. Time to grind for 333 pieces of moss I guess.

It's not too bad if you catch it before your yearly green rain or have some stocked up from previous years. If not, it's just down to waiting really

Trixie had to put Elliot in his place today:

Elliot - Be careful out there! I do worry about you sometimes. There are people in the world who would take advantage of you.

Trixie - Dude? A word?
First, I am never without two swords, an axe and a pickax.

Second, I gave birth to your stepson at the bottom of the local mines and to your daughter in the Caldera of the Ginger Island Volcano.

Third, the last Joja adjacent sleazebag who tried to swindle me is walled up in a cave.

Fourth, those pirates you've heard rumors of? I party with them on the regular.

So please stop imagining me as the Lady of some Italian sonnet. There's a reason I donated all your Petrarch to Gunther, and if you don't watch it, Marcello gets the Shakespeare!

Elliott: The Ginger Island volcano?!?! So that's why Elizabeth Barrett came by parrot rather than the more customary stork!
He’s such a trip! I’d be slaving in the rain all day, solely providing for the family, and he’d say “I would come and help you my dear, but you know how the rain affects my hair!” Then would accuse me of “causing him nightmares of me giving him a buzz cut!” (Gee, wonder why hair boy? Cause I had those darn clippers turned on, ready to cut, but then decided to save the relationship for the sake of the children!”). Followed by the next day “Will you be ok without my help today my dear?” (Always am, always have been hair boy.). And the famous “what did I do all day? What all do you think it takes me to look this good.” Or “I’ll admit it takes me hours to make my hair look this good.”

Give me Harvey any day! He’s so underrated as “dull” or “boring”. But give me a “boring” non A list in the looks department who is hard working man who genuinely provides for and cares for his wife and kid’s well being and feelings any day over vain and pompous adult children, or immature juveniles who could legit be my children any day. I have no idea why half the singles in the game are actual teenagers, not sure what CA was thinking on that one since you are presumably 25 plus, if not older according to the introduction. 🤷‍♀️

The master of Clinical Coercion who sets husband against wife in his first heart event and scolds you for advocating for George's personal autonomy? "Don't ever contradict me" is a Big Red Flag.

Who, if you wander innocently into his office to give him a bottle of wine for his birthday, forces you into a medical exam you never asked for, and that you're clearly objecting to (note PC's tear bubble)?

Sure, you can have him. I'll take the writer of genre fiction who's published one book and is working on a second, and is champing at the bit to teach his kids to read!

Huntress Farm updates:
  • I got fish pond 12 (out of 26) built.
  • I made a shed and have filled it with preserve jars.
  • Only two rooms of the house (plus the cellar) are dedicated to machines now. Sebastian and the dogs have even started going upstairs!
  • I bought a furniture catalog and built a bathroom just in time for Sebastian to spend the entire day in there after the Luau (I blame the governor for all that double-dipping when he discovered the soup was delicious).
  • I made a pair of farm obelisks.
  • I've been buying irridium sprinklers from Krobus so I can just pet the dogs and ducks and head to the mines for more stone and coal.
  • Sebastian started his frog and toad sanctuary.
  • Sebastin made a couple sweet comments at the Luau and Midnight Jellies festivals. It's neat to see characters referencing past festivals/ cutscene events.
  • I got enough wood to build Pam's house and (hopefully) finish my bee hive area (half the sprinkler area on the beach farm is bee hives and with how much money I'm making from fish farming I'm thinking about turning more of it into bee hives and just using the greenhouse for crops).
  • I got a sewing machine and keep getting rainbow shells from one of my fish ponds so farmer Helena is dying everything purple.
  • I have continued my habit of hurrying to fix Willy's boat only to ignore Ginger Island completely until I realize the only fish left for Master Angler are there. Still haven't been there but I remembered that's a thing again after catching some Pufferfish, which was the last I needed in the Valley.
  • I realized I have no hearts with Sandy so I have to remember to start giving her flowers and saying 'hi' when I head to Skull Caverns.
  • I'm just a few slimes way from completing the monster slayer goal and after that, I'll dedicate some stones to building that slime hutch Sebatian keeps bringing up.

This was my first time marrying Sebby too, and that was the first thing I noticed about him. Like, omg, you are as obsessed with slimes as I am! But don't you know we got a slime hutch at home with all the slimes you can imagine? Did you want a second one built?! I love him for that

I really like the way Sebastian still does stuff after marriage.
  • He gets into slime breeding and starts a frog rescue.
  • While you never see him at his computer, he still talks about his work after marriage (making him one of only four or five singles that contiues working, I believe).
  • He still mentions taking walks in the caves (he even gives you bat wings or minerals sometimes).
  • He works on his bike and occasionally goes for rides at night.
  • He still meets up with his friends on Fridays.
  • He talks about reading comics and books.
  • He visits his mom and sister.
  • He remarks on the fact that he's always been a loner so the city wouldn't have been a good fit for him and that he's happy to hang out by himself on the farm most days.
Between all that, the frequency in which he makes/gives coffee, and the sweet little references to past events, he's a pretty good choice of spouse.

This especially! Some of them has gone recluse after marriage, and they totally didn't have to do that for me
Live your best dreams! Have your friends! I appreciate the thought that I did not wreck their semblance of past life after marriage because that was also their essence.
I mean they may like to be a homebody that's fine, but sometimes I felt a bit guilty lol cause I wasn't sure if that's really what they want.

Today I did an earnest attempt at Skull Cavern ladderless!

206 floors, 68 rating and a total of 1998 eggs by the end of the festival (I had to toss out 160+ eggs the second day because my Skull Cavern run had my inventory completely packed too)!

This is definitely a personal best, and I didn't even know there are two chests by the 200th floor! Very cool, looking forward to greater heights.
The hiccup I have is definitely ironically when there *is* a ladder already on the floor and I just haven't realized it, so now I have to find that stair because no other stairs or holes will show up now. I don't know if this was a recent change but I don't recall that happening back in the day. Knowing this, I will definitely be more exploratory of the floor plan!

Wait until you find what's on the 300th floor, you won't believe it
