As an interested linguist I would say probably yes. The old Celtic and north-german languages got mixed often during history...
Bairn is also slang for child in North-East England, especially in the geordie (Newcastle) dialect. And the vikings often reached that part of the UK first. Given the extent of the Danelaw, I'm a bit surprised it isn't more widely used in the UK.

My name? A nickname coined in Ukraine while I was living there. Part of my real name with a stereotypical slavic ending.

Local Legend
In my second playthrough my Farmer got married to Sam and one morning he said to her: "Hey, Cuddlebug, we're having a baby soon..." This was kinda cute and also different, since my spouses mostly use my farmers name or simply "Honey" or "Sweetheart".
that is so cute, and I think I remember you posting about this quite awhile ago.

mine is just a name I've used on the internet for a looong time

As previously explained in a profile post where slimeglasses asked me this:

Are you Krobus or a different shadow person named Zach? :krobus:

zack123
Different dude, Krobus kind of a cousin. He was the one who introduced me to the sewer lifestyle. Regarding the name Zach heard it once from one of the sewer grates near were I was staying when I first moved into the sewers and decided to use it since my name is hard to spell with human letters.
As for real life Zack is simply a similar version of my name in English.
