A bat attacked around 7:40PM on Sunday 7th of my 3rd year. Any idea what may have happened?
PlayStation Unsure what just happened but a Bat attacked me in broad daylight.

the daylight hadn't left yet so I'm confused
usually it waits a while before they start to appear

I'm on Wilderness & have no mods just for some extra info that I probably should have put first

I'm pretty sure the monsters don't come out till 8:00 PM by nature so the bat shouldn't have appeared. didn't do all that much damage but it happened none the less & if it's a bug they could at least check it out & see if it could be a bigger issue then it seems. Never risk the effectiveness of a game's story. if something is off you should check & if nessisary fix it.I think no matter when it actually get dark, nightfall is defined as 6 or 7 pm. You can also get night fish (like bream or eel) at that time.

another thing is that it could have just been an issue with my system so it may not be a big issue

Never risk getting an answer you don't like from a fellow poster who's just trying to help you when you could look the answer up yourself. The answer is in the Stardew Valley Wiki; it's very effective, chock full of information, and a necessity, in my humble opinion.
