PlayStation Unsure what just happened but a Bat attacked me in broad daylight.

A bat attacked around 7:40PM on Sunday 7th of my 3rd year. Any idea what may have happened?

the daylight hadn't left yet so I'm confused
usually it waits a while before they start to appear

I'm on Wilderness & have no mods just for some extra info that I probably should have put first

I think no matter when it actually get dark, nightfall is defined as 6 or 7 pm. You can also get night fish (like bream or eel) at that time.
