Please try the solutions mentioned in this link, specifically the ones that say "Stardew Valley is not launching on PC".

If none of that works, you can try running the game in compatibility mode as explained here: https://www.stardewvalley.net/compatibility/.

Let me know if the game still doesn't launch after trying everything. I hope you'll be able to play soon!

I don't know what to do about this:
"Make sure you have .NET 5.0+ installed"

How do I do this? I have a freshly-installed version of Windows 11 and have run all of the updates (which I did to run Stardew!). I did searches for installing .Net but they all revolve around developer tools. Do I need to install developer tools just run the game? Steam ran a .net install script of some sort on first run. Does that not do what is required?

I tried running the compatibility version but when I tried to load my save it just goes back to the title screen.

Thank you for your help.

You might have trouble finding .NET 5.0 in particular because that version is no longer supported by Microsoft. You can go to this official link https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download and install .NET 9.0 or .NET 8.0; they are the newer versions and either should work.
