Windows Game Crashes When Switching Audio Devices

Hello,

As the title suggests, my game is consistently crashing when I try to change audio devices from my Bluetooth earbuds (JBL Free II Hands-Free AG Audio) to my laptop's built-in speakers or vice versa. I've found a couple threads about similar scenarios on the forum, but they were all outdated and several claimed that the problem would be fixed with the framework change in the release of 1.5.5. However, this is still a serious problem for me. Whenever the earbud I'm using dies, the computer automatically switches the sound and the game crashes. I'm really racking my brain as to what is causing this crash. It doesn't happen when I use the stereo setting for the earbuds (JBL Free II Stereo) but then there is significant amounts of latency between the visuals and the audio.

Here's the windows crash log for the event.
