Trouble understanding compatibility, so it would be super helpful to figure this out before I purchase the game

So, I'm new to this game; I've only ever seen my girl play it, and I've been thinking of purchasing the game. However, I'm not sure whether it will be compatible with my laptop or the software it runs on.
The compatibility info about the game says I'd need MacOS Sierra 10.12.1, and I'm not exactly sure whether that means the game would still run on my laptop or would I have to download it.
I own a MacBook Air, and some of the specs are:
Processor: 1.8 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB
Software: MacOS Monterey 12.7.6
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
The Mac I own is 2017 model
Do let me know if you'd need some other info to figure it out. I really want to thank anyone who's willing to help me out!!!

Looks like Sierra is older than Monterey (10 vs 12, plus I found people asking how to upgrade from one to the other) so you should be good to go.

Hi m0rpheu7 and Welcome to the Forums! Yes, you will be fine running Stardew Valley. I run Stardew on a 13" 2015 MacBook Pro which is almost identical to yours on the inside and it runs great.
