Switch Switch 2 split screen crashing

Im not sure why but stardew will keep randomly freezing every now and then, and sometimes even just crash, the switch is docked and I'm playing split screen with my partner. Does anyone know why?

I am also having the issue of seeing random freezes about every 5-10 minutes, playing in splitscreen co-op on Switch 2.

So do me! There is a serious problem of stuttering frame skipping in split screen mode, including on switch2, please fix it as soon as possible!

The crashing was happening consistently for me and my partner as well. The stuttering has always been an issue for us, but since 1.6 we cannot play any more as it crashes at the end of the day almost every day. Would love to get an update regarding these issues.

Same problem here. I've made sure all the data is on my console (instead of sd card), and made sure I have latest system and software update. Serious stuttering regularly afflicts us when in split screen. The worst is after a long day - crash and lose all the day's progress

I’m having the same issues. Playing on switch 2, the game works completely fine on single player but lags and crashes on split-screen.

I have been experiencing this problem as well. Completely new Switch 2, while playing split screen coop. There are a lot of random lag spikes, I have only had 1 crash so far (been playing for a few hours). My crash happened right after saving, so no progress was lost.

After more hours of gameplay, the lag spikes and crashes have become so frequent, that I would almost consider split screen unplayable on the switch.

Spilt screen is way too heavy for such a new console. The game didn't get the chance to get especially optimised for the Switch 2.
