Android Playing with Bluestacks Emulator - Game audio broken after crash

Hi everyone! Just an odd person here playing Stardew using Bluestacks because I thought I wanted to play the game on Android but turns out, I can better play the game on Windows.

All that aside, just got an issue regarding the audio. Been playing the game for 273 hours on Bluestacks and im on my 274th hour. While I was eating, the game suddenly crashed and when I reopened the game, there was no audio anymore. Currently spending hours on end on how to fix the issue and searching the web but to no avail so I am writing here to perhaps send a signal to other Bluestacks enjoyer out there who are also playing Stardew that happens to encounter my problem.

Some of the methods I have tried are:

1. Closing and opening the game
2. Uninstall/reinstalling the game (clean reinstall using BSTCleaner_native)
3. Muting/unmuting audio bar on both Bluestacks and on my computer (btw, Bluestacks audio works perfectly fine with other apps, just not Stardew :( )
4. Shutting down/restarting my device completely multiple times.
5. Checking the sound options inside the game itself. (they were perfectly fine)

If anyone has encountered such issues like me, just say "Hi. I have the same issue.", so that we can at least share the sadness of playing no audio Stardew. Playing the game without the music just feels wrong and sad to me for some reason. It is not borderline unplayable by any means as the game mechanics feels perfectly fine but it still feels lacking.

Still looking for some options and even going as far as trying to understand how game audio works and their compatibility with other platforms and such but it looks like it will be a loooong dive and I, for one, am almost 100% in my current save file so might just continue without the music/audio.

Almost forgot, help and answers is definitely welcome, highly appreciated and needed!!

The most recent i could find by searching the keywords "android audio" was from 2025. And there wasnt any fix to it. For me right now up until this moment, same problem persists. Just getting used to playing the game soundless

UPDATE FIX: (kinda a fix, the problem mostly fixed itself)

Okay, so I have tried a lot of the solutions that the internet can provide to no avail. After that, I still continued playing Stardew Valley using Bluestacks without audio (much sad)

So today, at this very moment, I booted up Stardew Valley and the audio came back!!! So, what happened?

Before opening Stardew Valley, I was listening to a call using my headphones (I dont usually use headphones or earphones because the audio is already loud enough for me, but for this call, the audio was sooo bad I had to use my headphones)

I plugged in the headphones via my port extender and listened to the call. My headphones does this weird, buzzy sound when I plug it in via port extender so I use the headphone jack instead and the audio is now mostly audible without the buzzy sound.

When I was done using it, I plugged it off and chilled for the next 30 minutes. Then I wanted to play Stardew Valley for a bit and booted it up and voila!, AUDIO CAME BACK BABY!!

I completely have NO IDEA what happened there as I am not at all techy and stuff but I want to hazard a guess that perhaps when the crash happened, the game audio bugged and went into the laptop audio jack hence there was no audio that plays but the other games have audio because they were still programmed to output using the laptop's speaker. When I plugged and used my headphone then plugged it off, somehow the games' audio reverted back to using the laptop's speaker again because there was no headphone to output the audio off.

Anyways, Im just an idiot speaking my mind right now and I dont have anything to back all this nonsense up but I just want to update the thread here in the hopes that maybe by:

1. Plugging in a headphone to your audio jack
2. Unplugging the headphone

The games audio will restore and be fixed by itself. I am not a licensed tech or anything and this is a specific problem and "solution" that happened to me only so I hope this will somehow also work for anyone who might have this specific issue out there.

Thats it. Cheerio. Happy to have the audio back!!!
