Not at initial release though, which is the source of the comments about Haunter Chocolatier being released only for PC.
I think a big part of it as well is that around the time the initial trailer released, CA was responding to comments on Twitter and when asked about a mobile port for HC his reply was "I don't know, probably not to be honest". Which is totally fair, and opens the question of if there will be any ports outside of PC at all, for Switch (or successor), PlayStation, Xbox, etc.
I think that's the main reason this question keeps coming up. Obvs PC is his top priority and there's no prob with that. We're just curious abt port possibilities

Though I do hope they don't let the words of the few affect the outcome for the many.
I do too, but that voice is oftentimes very harmful and hard to ignore/avoid, even if it's a known minority.

When you're being attacked online for giving out free updates on your own time and effort when you were never obliged to nor was it any part of some contractual obligation to do so it can often come down to putting yourself first, which I wouldn't blame CA/team for doing.

specifically around Chocolatier, is the whiners complaining about him focusing on Stardew instead of working on Chocolatier. That's the real overstep
We can really boil it down to a plethora of issues, to me, it's the more overarching infringement on a single individuals freedom to do as they wish. CA is getting critique for putting effort into his own passion project, or nor putting enough effort into it, or putting effort in the wrong ways, it's impossible to find a perspective that isn't trying to be faulted in some way, it's not the ends to the rudeness but the means of rudeness in of itself.
