And nothing I said went against any of that. This community has an issue with toxic positivity. Multiple times I have voiced full support for CA and his team doing whatever works best for them. I will also state that it would be a shame if people get left out. I will never walk that back or change my opinion on it
....except you haven't voiced full support. You're trying to shame the devs into getting what you think should happen. That's not support, it's pretty toxic, and I'm sorry if you can't see that.

You're absolutely right, that is totally fair. Though I do hope they don't let the words of the few affect the outcome for the many. I think the much more significant issue with negativity, specifically around Chocolatier, is the whiners complaining about him focusing on Stardew instead of working on Chocolatier. That's the real overstep
Nobody here, and very few on the forums are saying he should be working on SDV. And honestly, the real overstep is you many making judgements of a game that isn't even in alpha yet. You're impatient, and it seems that some people thrive on negativity, but you are the only one bringing negativity into this thread

I have indeed, multiple times now, voiced full support-- you clearly don't understand what I'm saying or why I'm saying it and I'M sorry YOU can't see that.

Oh and I would appreciate you pumping the brakes on your snap judgement of my character. You fundamentally do not understand why I think, feel, and speak the way I think, feel, and speak and you have demonstrated that twice over at this point.

I AM much more than supportive of Eric and his team doing whatever they deem necessary and best for their development process. So stop saying I'm not. And I'm not impatient, I'm hopeful that a significant portion of people who love his work aren't left out with the eventual release of his next project. I'm NOT "shaming" anyone-- I'm saying it WOULD BE "a shame" if people were left out. There's a stark difference and I'll thank you to stop putting words in my mouth.

I do not thrive on negativity, quite the opposite in fact. But I am well aware of the insidious dangers of toxic hive-like positivity. All I offer is a general warning about absolutism and hope for a future that is nice for EVERYONE, not nust a fraction of SdV / Choco fans.

Clearly we are having trouble communicating so I'll be disengaging from this discussion now. All the best ^_^

Not at initial release though, which is the source of the comments about Haunter Chocolatier being released only for PC.
I think a big part of it as well is that around the time the initial trailer released, CA was responding to comments on Twitter and when asked about a mobile port for HC his reply was "I don't know, probably not to be honest". Which is totally fair, and opens the question of if there will be any ports outside of PC at all, for Switch (or successor), PlayStation, Xbox, etc.
I think that's the main reason this question keeps coming up. Obvs PC is his top priority and there's no prob with that. We're just curious abt port possibilities

Yes, your behavior was odd. Biting my head off over one silly little word... I won't place any judgement!
I'm glad we were able to work through this together, and I hope my perspective was enlightening
But you're already placing judgement by simply replying. You're an odd one,you claim one thing yet perform another...

I do too, but that voice is oftentimes very harmful and hard to ignore/avoid, even if it's a known minority.

When you're being attacked online for giving out free updates on your own time and effort when you were never obliged to nor was it any part of some contractual obligation to do so it can often come down to putting yourself first, which I wouldn't blame CA/team for doing.

We can really boil it down to a plethora of issues, to me, it's the more overarching infringement on a single individuals freedom to do as they wish. CA is getting critique for putting effort into his own passion project, or nor putting enough effort into it, or putting effort in the wrong ways, it's impossible to find a perspective that isn't trying to be faulted in some way, it's not the ends to the rudeness but the means of rudeness in of itself.

All good points! I appreciate you sharing your perspective, it gives me a lot to think about ^_^
