Xbox Co-op “connection failed” (potential bug?? help??)

My friend and i have been having issues with this problem for the past couple of days. We’ll go a few in-game days without issues, and then suddenly after we sleep, a “connection failed” message pops up, and we are forced to redo a day. We may have noticed a pattern. This error tends to occur after we sell multiple items. I don’t know if it’s a bug, or if there’s a fix, but it’s a little frustrating.

Co-op connection failed has been reported frequently since last year (starting in October or November). To my knowledge, no one has received an answer yet as to why and we may not see a fix till the new update. I am sorry that this is happening to your game. Try to look out for a fix moving forward rather than testing it yourself, as some people have lost progress or entire saves trying to load co-op.

I personally have not been able to play co-op on either the xbox 1, Xbox X and Xbox series S since late November.

Agreed! My friends and I just got into this wonderful game on Xbox and it just sucks. We are scared every everytime we go to sleep of losing progress. It is unfortunate because consoles haven't been updated as urgently and this is an issue. I may have to stop until a patch is announced about it, because it makes worldbuilding so frustrating to repeat the same things over and over again because of lost progress due to connection server error when going to sleep.

My friends and I found a way around dealing with the connection issues bug! We haven't had a disconnect for a while. We exit the game after save progress at night and reloading back in every 3 days or so! It is annoying but we found it to be a good work around the issue! May be worth a try!
