Xbox Can't use any tools 1.6.9

Hi all,
I'm playing on xbox1, and I can't use any of my tools in any of my games. I can see them in the inventory, but cannot use them. All other items seem to be fine. Already uninstalled/reinstalled, tried making a new farm.. pretty bummed, I can't really play this way.

Xbox One S - Still experiencing the same issue. I reset the Xbox completely, installed the game fresh, still having the same issue. All tools are in the inventory, but selecting any tool, it will not show on my character and I cannot use it at all. Food and other items I can eat/interact with, but no tools are working.
