No, because the meteorite causes an 'explosion', not a 'strange sound'. :) The reason I say it was from a couple of 'years' ago is because I did register the explosion at the time, but as the meteorite was not readily evident on my farm and I wasn't particularly hurting for iridium at the time...

I started a new farm recently and had a stone owl within my first week. :laugh: Still haven't gotten a meteorite yet, but I did get a meteorite in the first year of the first farm I made. It sat there for a good long while before I finally got a pickaxe that could crack it open.

Looking at your watering system, clearly the game knew you'd depleted all the locally-sourced Iridium. I got a meteorite in my current v1.5 save in Year 1, which is the first one I've seen since Spring Y1 of my very first SDV save.

So apparently, my barn yard is a magnet for meteorites. This is the second one that's landed there in Year 2.

You have a meteorite! You'll need a gold pickaxe to break it, and then it'll give 6 iridium ore, 6 stone, and two geodes. Otherwise it'll just stay there forever.

Yeah, I figured it is largely RNG driven. Just wondering if there is a spawn limit. For the meteorite that would be a bummer because of the upgraded axe that is required.
