Best rings for skull caverns

For me, before I had access to merge two rings to one, I prefer to carry Iridium Band & Naplam Ring
I tried some other rings like Phenix Ring or Lucky Ring.
Finally I begrudgingly wear back Naplam Ring as it literally boosted my efficiency to deal with monsters and explode stones simultaneously.
Above is just my personal propensity, you can try them one by one until finding out your favorite.

It should, and if you want even more luck, a luck boost from a food and a luck boost from a drink can be active at the same time, so if you can make ginger ale to go with that spicy eel you should

Since you ha e a Lucky ring I'd use that one. Magnetism is very useful, but you arguably get what you need from Iridium band.
Vampire ring is pretty useful too, cause you will probably need to deal with many enemies, and it does help.
Burglar's ring is a popular choice too, but a pain to grind out.

Yes, I checked Wiki again, the luck won't impact drop rate of rabbit's foot.

Have not tried this in Skull cavern, so unsure how well it works there. But have tried in dangerous normal mines.
I'm using a combined iridium band/luck ring, and a vampire ring. Plus the post-mastery trinket that heals you, at level 2.. That worked surprisingly well. Most of the time health was practically topped up, and energy wasn't. Actually had to eat food to get energy, instead of health. That is unheard of, haha.
But eventually I want to use the Burglar's ring, for twice the drops. Think that works well in SC too, as we tend to end up battling many "crawling" iridium nodes, that drop iridium when killed. It does add up nicely.
On console we can't really do deep dives either, so will have to rely on a much slower accumulation of iridium and especially prismatic shards.

Napalm and burglars ring. If you read the monster book (black book with monster on it as a loot drop in mines) and combine it with a burglars ring you can get double loot drops. Way cool!! And napalm ring is like having constant cherry bombs when you slay monsters. Though it sometimes blows up gems or forage on ground and destroys them. But it will not destroy gems or ores in rocks but opens them for you if you slay monsters close to them.
WARNING ABOUT NAPALM RING!!!: if you have monsters on farm remember to ditch the ring before returning home or you may blow up machines, equipment, crops or sprinkler, etc on your farm if you slay night monster on farm with it,

As for the discussion in general, it's largely a subjective affair, and also largely depends on your priorities and the way you play within the cavern. Just using the different ways I'll run skull cavern for example, on deep dives I'll use quad magnet rings (2x iridium/glowstone) as magnetism is by far the most useful general attribute for mining with explosives, I'll also have 2x lucky/emerald rings that I'll ringswap - lucky rings massively fall off later in the game but each will give me like .3% more ore which is still something comapred to no other benefit on the emerald rings. On a stairless dive however, I'll mostly bring combat oriented rings like savage/napalm alongside those same deep dive rings, as I'm often forced to actually kill stuff. In general play throughout the mid-ish game at a stage where I'm still going through monster slayer goals and care somewhat about some monster drops, I'll usually wear double iridium band alonside burglar and something else, usually one of immunity/savage or something for fun like napalm.
