A bonus primastic shard?

For the first time in my many years playing this game, I married another player in Stardew Valley. We spent days in the Skull Cavern searching for 3 prismatic shards (2 for swords and one for a ring). Later the same day that we crafted the engagement ring, our players kissed, and a FOURTH prismatic shard spawned into my s/o's inventory. We had empty inventories minus our tools. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal? I guess we will donate this one to Gunther...

I know that NPC spouses can give gifts, but I did not think that was possible from relationships with players. Thoughts?

If you're playing a co-op game the players can marry each other if they want to. There's a special recipe for a wedding ring in co-op games used for that.
If you're playing a single-player game, there aren't any other players to marry, so you have to go for the NPCs and use a mermaid pendant.
