Well I feel rather silly

Turns out, with the treasure appraisal guide, dinosaur eggs beyond normal quality, even with the artisan profession, LOSE money over being processed into mayo. I've been making too many without checking the price.
Wooooooow my life is a lie. I've been making all my dino eggs into mayo for so long I never considered seeing what the selling price of the eggs are after acquiring that same perk. I'm so grateful I revealed your spoiler!
Oops. Both of those things right there, time to do a comparo and then the requisite facepalm.

I reloaded my original save, the one where I'm in year four with more money than I could possibly spend. I haven't played this save in a while because there was a glitch that removed all crops and all sprinklers in my greenhouse. I decided to dive in to restoring its operations. Fortunately, I had enough supplies in trunks to rebuild all of my sprinklers, and I had spare starfruit, strawberry, and blueberry seeds in storage: I also had cranberries in my chest that's reserved for canning and winemaking, so I turned them into seeds instead and soon had that put to rights. Compared to my other saves, this original is a very messy place. I made an excursion to the Skull Caverns and got 20 layers in, getting a good bit of iron, gold, and coal to replentish my stores. I saw something weird in the house and remembered -- oh, I have a child-thing. May alternate playing this and my new 1.6 save. The original is the only one where I have access to Ginger Island.

And that's not all

Taking account of what the appraisal guide boosts, it seems it would not be tenable to put anything but basic bone fragments into the bone mill.

Now I am compelled to check the Ginger Island bones to see if they are affected as well.

On a brighter side, Winter 6-7 Year 2, Abby was ready for our first child, I got my first Qi quest done (Skull Cavern Invasion), I have a third auto-petter in case I feel like getting a 3rd barn or coop, I got the statue of Endless Fortune, and I'm about to have enough Iridium Bars for the Island Obelisk.

Better yet

After about a month, I FINALLY got my first trinkets. the Parrot Egg and Ice Rod. Level 2 medium chance for 250g per drop and 4.9 seconds per shot, freezing for 2.5 seconds.

She smuggled a truffle out of the Gotoro empire! Shomer was never going to raise a pig, so he now has the last item for the last cc bundle. He's going to wait until after Shabbat to run it up there. He doesn't want to make the junimos work on Shabbos.

I thought it might be nice to have a place where people can report on their farm's goings-on and the adventures of their farmer, kind of like this thread at The Sims forums. I'll kick things off!

I am still very new to the game and in mid-summer of my second year at Peacefield Farm. In the first year, I was able to learn the basics of the game, and start becoming marginally successful: by the end I was selling honey, mayonnaise, maple syrup, and jams in addition to regular crops. I also used the winter to (mostly) change my fields to be oriented around sprinklers. My goals for year two were multiple: one, get to the bottom of the mines (I'd gone from 1 to 105 in winter alone): two, expand the house; three, build more farm infrastructure like a stable, a barn, and a silo; and four, tackle the overgrowth on my little islands and expand my fields. As of this morning (Summer 15) things are going well on those fronts! I got to the bottom of the mines almost immediately, and have built a barn and filled it with four cows. I also just expanded the house, so now I can start crafting food! I had a bunch of rain days in the early summer, so I used those to attack the big island and have created a larger field there. I'm also using the little strip of land just north of the road that goes to Marnie's as an orchard. My immediate plan is to explore cooking. Farmwise, my plans are to get a silo so I don't have to plant so much wheat or buy hay from Marnie; expand the coop so I can get duck eggs; continue harvesting hardwood for a stable; and continue expanding on the second island. I want the silo first because there's a lot of grass on the big island that I don't want to waste.
Super exciting! :junicheer:
I’ve been playing on Xbox for a while and just bought a PC because I kept seeing posts of the Meadowlands update and HAD TO HAD IT! I am absolutely in love with the PC version vs the Xbox version! I downloaded the expanded mod and some other aesthetic mods :stardrop:

On my Xbox I was at year 5 so I had a pretty good idea of how to make money and get things going quickly! I am also in Summer of my second year with my new character and so excited for how my farm is coming along! I’ve been stalking Sophia so she can be my wife! I just had my cutscene with her and bought a bouquet and thought that was a good place to sign off for the night after I caught up all my farming!

This is really good timing as I've been saving mine with the intention of turning them into mayo later, thanks for the heads up.

Yep, Silver Star Dino Eggs sell for about 200g more than Dino Mayo. Regular Dino Eggs is probably so close that it's a waste of time, just process all those other eggs. Wow. Big thanks to @Umbra of Emberspike !

So this is CA giving us the ability to drink Mayo <shudder> and then subtly tipping the balance by encouraging us to make less of it.

Yesterday, I posted that me and my friend were going to start another new farm today, and this is how it went:
-We just turned on normal settings cuz we didn't have much time to play
-Got 2000g
-I talked to everyone while he decided to make himself sluggish with exhaustion and wait until abt 5 seconds till 2 am to go to bed, TWICE
-A crow ate 4 OF OUR PARSNIPS because we weren't farming lvl 1 yet
-I used my first fishing rod cast (which is guaranteed) on a rainy day to catch a catfish since they're pretty hard to catch
-Got to lvl 15 in mines
-Bought all the crops we needed for the bundle
-Tried to get Sebastian to come out of his house so I could just give him a freaking gift
This was all in the span of day 1-5 of spring, and for some reason almost every day it RAINED. I have never had it rain that much before in the beginning of spring!:water::water::water:

After we played, I only had time for one day of fall on my own save, which just happened to be Spirit's Eve. I sat and did nothing for 13 HOURS IN GAME waiting for it, got the golden pumpkin, and left. I have some community center items to bring, so hopefully I have a chance to play again to get those in.

How did all of your Stardew sessions go?

:stardrop: I'm online too much. Message me or ask me something and I'm likely to respond within an hour during the week. :stardrop:

Time to show off my completed house as of Winter 24 year 2.

I wanted to keep a cursed mannequin in the bottom right room, but I learned that it could mess with the wallpaper, not just swap clothes, appear next to the bed in the morning, stare with real eyes, and even jumpscare...

I can't let it mess with that particular wallpaper. It came from Qi's Casino, and I can't find it in the catalogue.

Also, it seems that getting the parrots to rebuild the farm obelisk now rewards 1 free warp totem: island

Interesting. It seems the order in which movies are in the theater has been altered.

In my first file, it was on the 4-year cycle from winter to fall. So "The Miracle at Coldstar Ranch" was first, and "Mysterium" was last for the year-1 cycle. "The Zuzu City Express" came after "Mysterium" and "It Howls in the Rain" came before "The Brave Little Sapling".

This time, it's summer to spring. This means that "Journey Of The Prairie King: The Motion Picture" was in theaters first, and 'The Brave Little Sapling" should be last in the year-1 cycle. But instead, it's "Natural Wonders: Exploring Our Vibrant World " and "Wumbus" is next.

So now it looks like, unless I see otherwise, all 8 movies go in a straight circle without the order being remixed based on year unlocks.
