When do you like to start a new farm?

I seem to start a new farm when a major game update releases, with an exception:

v1.3 - Standard farm, married Penny, messy chaos natural Farm theme
v1.4 - Forest farm, married Maru, shared farm but my farming buddy quit in Year 2 so:
v1.4redux - Hilltop Farm, married Abigail, horrible farm. Used arcane magicks known only to the ancients (that I found in a cookbook!) to transform the farm to Standard farm map, Slime ranching theme.
v1.5 - Beach Farm, married Haley, Ostrich racetrack theme
v1.6 - Forest Farm, married Emily, Clothing and Gem Shop theme, longest play, 100% Perfection (lol never again!)

I had enough fun on the Abigail thru Emily farms that I wrote about them so the theme for all of those was farm stories, but I seem all tapped out for now with that.

I usually start a new farm whenever I have a challenge I want to complete. If an update drops or when I'm regularly playing, I'll just play on the two farms I have as 'main' farms on, as I like to pursue long-term goals instead of playing the earlygame loop.

Last time I played a new file was nearly a year ago, which kinda shows how little I start new farms, though I've also been really busy, I don't think I've played any game in a couple months due to taking a lot of fairly difficult courses right now.
