What, in your opinion, is the evilest thing to do in SDV?

Buying the Joja membership... definitely evil. Poor Junimos. Also I don't give Shane or Pam beer or any alchohol for the sake of their livers. I also gave Jodi trash once bc her opening dialogue (when you meet her) is
"Oh, you're not exactly what I was expecting... but that's okay! I'm Jodi."
What does she expect me to be? Some handsome guy about to save her mental mess of a husband?

I've always thought divorcing your spouse. What they say to you afterwards when you try and talk to them is so sad :heartrip:

I only did it once to Shane when I first started playing Stardew in 2020. Never again, oooo the guilt.
Frankly, I just never really date or marry Shane at all, because lets be real, I don't think marriage ever 'fixes' depression. Shane really should have stayed in the city for continued therapy, not come back to a town that does nothing but enable his worst traits.

Oh yeah, double post, but uh... you can give alcohol to kids in this game. Pretty certain this is basically a crime, or at least something that should lower friendship with everyone in the town, because what kind of monster gives alcohol to kids?

Pelican Town might as well be a place where childhood comes to die.

That’s why I install Shane dialogue mods. They include a recovery arc for him in terms of his drinking. Also a mod that gives the town a therapist for a men’s support group (Kent goes too for PTSD), and for individual therapy sessions for depression for Shane. I’m fond of him regardless though he’s got a good heart

Man, I always found it a little frustrating how you have to rely on mods just to patch up the game's weaknesses. I get that CA can't do everything at once, but you can really feel how frustrating it is because the concepts are interesting but the execution just feels so messy in vanilla.

I regularly give Pam beer at the bus stop. I give Shane and Pam beer at the tavern too. I also lock the beach resort immediately I unlock it. I get autopetters as soon as I can so that I don't have to pet the farm animals. I also imagine I'm sending them to the slaughter house when I sell them because that's the logical destination for farm animals. I prefer Joja over fixing the community center. I kill baby slimes too even when I have a slime charmer ring.

playing all the bachelor/ettes, marrying them, and divorcing them all, then wiping their memories to date them again. all while turning your kids into doves

like actively trying to ruin people's lives and making them into toys of your own, pretty messed up
I also mercilessly use the bachelor/ettes just for the stardrop then immediately divorce the spouse and wipe their memory. I think I qualify as Stardew Valley Evil
