1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Very pesky! Seems like that thing is always one of the last artifacts I find, in every save! Probably just my luck with the game seed, but still. The durn hand!
Yes, it is for me, too. I think there may be one single game where I found it somewhere halfway, but usually it's one of the last ones. Most of the time it's on Ginger Island, on the dig site.

My game is in the last week of Winter already. On Monday I got Clint to open my golden coconut and a few other things I had lying around. Nothing special in the mystery boxes or geodes.

I brought Gus the coconut he needed, and bought the triple shot espresso recipe from him.

On Tuesday I picked up the slime charmer ring and used a warp totem to get to the beach so I was on time to get into Willy's shop. I barely made it.
When I got to Ginger Island, Gus was actually behind the counter, so I could buy the curry recipe and some gold-star mango wine for the Joja mart bundle.

I also went to the mine to combine my new slime charmer ring with my burglar ring, and add two more rubies to my sword. Then I went back in and broke rocks for a bit. I managed to find the mummified bat, so I donated that on my way back home. I traded my regular coconuts for golden coconuts.
I still had some time to harvest my taro roots and ship them. If I counted correctly, I should have 100. If not, I still have a few days to ship a few more. I barely made it into my hut on time, though.

Wednesday was a busy day. I went into the Walnut Room for the first time, listen to Qi's ramblings, took the "dangers in the deep" quest. Then I went to Leo's hut to give him another feather.
Then I gathered the golden coconuts and geodes I had collected and took the boat home.

I'm playing too much. 😳

Anyhow, I brought the bottle of wine to the Joja mart, and completed the last bundle.

The last junimo gave a long speech...

And we now have a movie theater - that I'm promptly going to forget exists, probably. I always forget it exists and I have yet to do the claw game.

Winter Star was uneventful. I brough Elliott a duck feather and received a magnet from Willy.
No tea set. Willy doesn't gift tea sets, as far as I remember.

I only had a few days to finish Qi's quest and also kill the grubs Clint wanted me to kill. I spent all of Friday trying to get down the mines. I lost all of my bombs and a lot of money when I died. I went back down immediately (after eating), reached floor 25 and passed out there.
Not the best result, but I found radioactive ore, and some monsters that dropped entire radioactive bars. And one slime that dropped an auto-petter. I gave it to my coop animals.

On Saturday I made 20 more staircases from my stone stacks - and on Sunday I decided to sacrifice another stack for another 10, since I'd reached floor 90 with only 17 staircases left.
On Sunday I managed to get to the bottom of the mines, with 1 staircase left. Since it was still early, I went to the desert to convert my 50 jades to new staircases in case I get the quest to get to floor 100 next week.

With two extra qi-gems from slaying slimes, I now have 52 qi gems as well as a prismatic shard, one galaxy soul, a load of radioactive ore and some bars, a golden animal cracker and of course that one auto-petter I got on Friday. Marlon found my lost bombs, too.

Not a bad way to end Year 2.

Indeed 😁👍🏻 hopefully Grandpa will be proud of you 🤞🏻

I was gifted a Tea-Set triple times so far, got one in my very first save from Gus after 10-12 years I think, later one from Evelyn after a few years, Buuuut! in one of my latest saves my farmer got one from Alex in Year 1! She immideately felt for him 😇☺

Dance of the Moonlight Jellies happened on a main harvest day. I did manage to both turn keg shed over to a new cycle and go to the festival, taking care of half the shed before and half after. Then played a few days into Fall. The stack chest saw its fifth exchange of the year, and only two stacks of ancient fruit wine remains.

And then it was Year 3 already. (I really, REALLY think I'm playing too much? 😂 )

Monday Spring 1 was busy. Grandpa came to visit, and there are now 4 candles on the shrine.
I forgot to pick up my statue, though. Too busy with the spring cleaning and planting.

I planted my strawberries and my 6 coffee beans. Then I went to Pierre's to get a few of everything, because I'm not sure what I'll need for cooking this year.
This week's quest was Evelyn's quest for leeks, at last. I really do want that coffee machine!! Also, it's the last one I haven't done yet.

That night the crop fairy messed up my entire lay-out.

On Tuesday I wanted to go back to Ginger Island - after taking care of my animals and retrieving my statue from grandpa's shrine. However, now I needed to get more seeds to replace all the different crops the crop fairy grew for me.
I ended up in the forest to listen to Vincent's lecture on spring onions instead.

And then I had to help Leah get fruit out of a tree before I could finally head to Pierre's to get my seeds. By the time they were planted it was too late to get into Willy's shop.

On Wednesday I watch the last Queen of Sauce rerun I will ever need, and I can now make bruschetta. I actually cooked a few dishes, and then decide to go see Harvey, because he owes me a cut-scene.

Clint opened all my golden coconuts, and I now have the head for the mammal skeleton. I went to the island to donate it. And while clearing out the farm and the beach I also found the second snake vertebrae in a mussel node, which was the last Ginger Island bone I needed for Professor Snail.
I now have enough walnuts to get my last upgrade - the obelisk to get me home. I also have a total of 3 banana saplings and 3 mango saplings, so I made a small orchard on the beach. Professor Snail also gave me the blueprint for an ostrich incubator.

I wanted to look for more journal scraps (to get the ostrich egg), but while I was clearing the dig site hoping it would pop up there, I actually found the skeletal hand!!
So once that is in Gunther's greedy little hands, I will have completed the museum.

I got a deconstructor from Mr Qi, picked up a quest to reach level 100 in the dangerous skull cavern, so I will need more staircases. I'm not sure I have enough stone to make more, though.
I decide to sleep on the island.

On Thursday I ran around collecting stones and bones. I went into the volcano, because I somehow ran out of cindershards - and I need stones for staircases. I found one more journal scrap, so that's two more to go. I don't really care about the last one, but I need the one that tells me where to find the ostrich egg.

It was raining in Stardew Valley, so when I left Willy's shop that afternoon I ended up on the beach with Sebastian, sharing an umbrella.

Gunther was happy with the last artifact, and I got my stardrop. The museum looks good.

I tried a bit of fishing and actually got the legend to bite - but lost it. It was too late to try again.

I collapsed in my living room because my cat was blocking the doorway to my bedroom.

On Sunday I went to the desert to combine two of Mr Qi's quests - the dangerous skull cavern run, and getting to level 100 for the snake milk. I found a Perfect Magic Quiver on floor 50, and that really helped. Fortunately I also found a few useful shafts, because I am still very low on staircases.

I got my Qi gems from the Walnut Room quest, and a lecture from Mr Q about stairs not being "honorable" I still wish I'd had more of them, though. I drank the snake milk and went down one more floor. There was a lot of iridium on that floor, but there were also at least three royal serpents that immediately ganged up on me, so I fled.

I had a good haul, though. Some mystery boxes, a cowboy hat, one prismatic shard, a few ores (including some more radioactive ores) and some assorted gems. There was an awesome prehistoric floor that I wish I could have tackled, but I didn't have the time for it. It would probably have clared the pepper rex goal in one fell swoop, though, it was packed wall to wall with rexes.

At home I harvested my first strawberries, and made (and used) a rain totem, because I'm tired of waiting for rainy days and I want that Legend.
