1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

I don't think stardew valley needs a whole school since there are just 3 kids, the third one appearing pretty late. That's way too little students to build a school, unless kids from outside the valley will be coming, which seems kinda unlikely? The majority probably goes to schools in Zuzu city
Still they need a education no? Besides he doesn't even do anything with the old community center. Yet he has enough money for a gold statue of himself.

They do
For elementary school stuff Penny probably can teach them everything, but after that 100% not. There's a reason in middle and high school each teacher has only 1-2 subjects on them. Though that's not a problem cuz they never grow up.
And yeah, I'm not even gonna try to justify the solid gold Lewis and all the stuff actually useful for the community that money could be spent on

The bus only costed the farmer 40K. Joja definitely up charges and Morris keeps a fee too but Lewis can definitely afford that kinda money to fix the bus himself. The community center could have been fixed tho. Even I can teach elementary school kids but Penny is definitely not equipped to handle them in even 3rd grade. They never grow up because it's a game but considering it from a realistic perspective there eventually gonna reach the age.

Fulfilled the Final Path today, made Grandpa pround again and got the Advanced Iridium Rod 💪 After that I went to Lewis House to find his Lucky Shorts once more, since its so helpful with fishing now. The day after I won the Ice Fishing Contest for the first time ever... Yeah I know, its no big deal for the most, but I'm very proud right now.
And Elliott finally got this letter, inviting him to a reading Tour for his book. He's very excited now and will leave tomorrow. But around noon the same day my Sweetheart told me that he will use the day to continue wirting his book 🤔 Sometimes I dont understand the algorithm of this game...
He's probably working on writing the next book. The first got finished around the time of his 8-heart scene, and then he started on the next, possibly the sequel, while he looked for a publisher for the first.

I can't
Some of them are just uncontrollable
Or maybe im just too soft for teaching

Why though
Is 3rd grade material that hard? Like my brother is in 2nd and they learn like how to subtract numbers 2 to 9 from 11 so I don't think 3rd grade would be a lot harder
Some of them are pretty easy to teach. Do NOT underestimate 3rd grade dude I was in 3rd grade and **** was tough. But it's not about the material itself I can understand 3rd grade stuff but can I explain and teach it? NO.

To me it seems like part of teaching is knowing your students and what they already know, so you can explain the new stuff in terminology that they can understand. So, someone who's already familiar with the students and have some aptitude/patience for teaching might not find it as difficult as someone coming into it without any experience of teaching students that age. Penny does mention needing to study up on some things, like slugs (unless it was snails), to be able to hold a class on it. Vincent and Jas, (and later Leo), might end up with some holes in their knowledge, but be taught way above their grade on other subjects compared to a class their age in Zuzu city.

Teaching two or three kids that you know well is also going to be much easier than stepping into a class of 30 kids. With only three students, Penny can focus much more on each one’s strengths and areas for improvement.

As usual, a lot of things have happened since I last mentioned the progress. Entered winter and restored access to the quarry and the greenhouse one day apart. Promptly moved the greenhouse out of my mushroom log grove. I ended up getting a red cabbage seed from the skull cavern when I went down to the 25th floor, rather than from the travelling merchant, so it went in, along the 14 ancient seeds I got from the fruits grown outside.

The dino egg hatched, and later a void egg too. A pig and a rabbit from Marnie's rounded things out, and now I've got just about all the species I want (apart from the blue and gold chickens). Sure, for some, like the pigs and the rabbits, I want more than just one, but it's enough for now. The money from the mushroom log grove is constant enough that I don't have to wait too long to invest or expand. My earlier estimate of 6 logs/dehydrator might be a bit off though. With 23 mushroom logs, 5 dehydrators should've been more than enough, yet the common mushrooms have started to pile up, as in 200+ in just the base quality stack. Time to build a couple more, I guess. And invest in a shed for them, though it's a bit difficult to decide where to put things with the limitations of the riverland map, especially since I want sheds for the preserve jars and kegs too.

Got Sebastian up to 8 hearts with a frozen tear on his birthday, and gave him a bouquet the next day. Already making plans for the future, even if he doesn't know it yet.

The birthdays are SO useful for getting hearts. I gave my guy Harvey a coffee on his birthday and it got him to five hearts when he was just two hearts before.

That's right, birthday gifts are the most effective way to make friends. And requests for help/quests from residents. But I've tried several times to give everyone a gift on their birthday in the game, and it never worked out because I always forgot someone or didn't find them 😏

Today i was in the fishing mood so I spent a few in game days at the mountain lake. Earned a little over 100000 g in smoked fish, with a huge part coming from two legend two's. Completely forgot I had the quest active till I caught one. Also traded all the quartz I've hoarded on ~240 bombs + crafted ~130 more and 100 more mega bombs. After going to bed and seeing that much g I woke up to a perfect luck day, with the blessing of luck and finding more ladders and shafts from my statues. And all of this right after I got a bunch of bombs in my pockets. Well I didn't waste any time and headed right into skull cavern:

I feel like I played a little slow, but the run was still amazing, really fun and just look at that loot, especially the second lucky ring of this save!
Didn't play for that long because my phone was low on battery, but yea that was a nice one
