When I accepted find four precious stones quest, I put my 4 prismatic shards(the ones I had before the quest) and they went in the box but the game didn't count the collect 4 prismatic shards thing and a YouTuber said that you don't need to get them after accepting the quest so I don't know if the game is broken or he was lying or I did something wrong

To answer the second part of the question about the youtuber saying they didn't need to be harvested anew, that was the old mechanic with the quest which was changed with the 1.6 update
