Solved Android Tablet – Pirate's Wife Quest: Kent Won't Recognize War Memento

Problem:
I am unable to progress the Pirate's Wife quest. The quest is active in my journal, and I have the War Memento in my inventory. I am following the quest instructions to talk to Kent while the War Memento is in my inventory, but Kent does not recognize it or advance the quest.
When I talk to Kent, he gives normal dialogue. For example, he said: “Sam has really grown up since I left. He's a man now.”
Things I have already tried:

• Restarted the game.
• Put the War Memento into a chest and then took it back out.
• Returned to Kent and tried again.
• Returned to Birdie, but she does not give me another War Memento.

The War Memento is still in my possession, and I have not given it to Kent as a normal gift because I don't want to lose the quest item.
This appears to be a possible mobile/Android bug with the Pirate's Wife quest. Please let me know if there is a known workaround or if additional information from my save is needed.

Thank you for your reply. Past advice was not to give it to him just to hold it in your inventory. Have you actually given it to him and it worked?

I've given it to him in several saves. Always worked. Same thing with the other items in that quest.
