I need to check if there are any inside Jerry. I don't think worms living in hats are very good for the latter.

Don't think so, either. Probably the holes would let too much rain coming through and that would destroy either wood or felt or whatever Jerry's made of. Or the holes would affect Jerry's hull integrity in general, not that he will just fall apart at some point...

Jerry that exists in my room is made out of cardboard (still cellulose, not too far off from wood), so he's far from immune to rain already. I don't know what other materials he's made of. Definitely wouldn't want to see him hol-ey and falling apart, so I'm letting the bird eat 'em all.
