I'm uncertain if this has been suggested before, so forgive me if it has... but I'd love to see ConcernedApe permit update refusals and the installation of previous versions via Steam. As far as I am aware, it is presently set to force the game to stay up to date, whether through automatic updates or through updating prior to launch, and installing the game always defaults to the latest version. If I am not entirely mistaken, if the game author permits it, a game can be set to permit the installation of past version and/or decline updates. Given how incredibly popular the game is - and with the thriving mod scene - I think this would be an incredibly useful change to make. After all, when major releases are pushed, it can be weeks or months for mods in a pack to be made compliant with the new versions (assuming the author even decides to update them). If we are not forced to new versions, or could install past versions, this would solve that issue - allowing folks to continue playing their existing pack until they can update properly.
