1. How long have you been playing?
Across all platforms sans mobile, I'd say around 300 hours (this includes Switch, PS4, Vita, Xbox One/Series X, PC).

2. Briefly describe your Farmer:
My farmer tends to be a direct reflection of myself, with some minor alterations of course. I'm pretty laid back so I'd like to think my farmer aka me would be also

3. Briefly describe one of your farms:
Sad to say, I haven't played 1.5 yet but I always go with the Standard Farm only because I like the flexibility it offers. I plan on starting a new one in the near future so maybe I'll try out the Beach farm.

4. What was/is the biggest game challenge for you?
For me, it's dealing with crops. I realize that's part of the fun and I certainly find it enjoyable, but min/maxing the crops can sometimes be tedious to me mostly because I like to take a laid back approach. However, being laid back doesn't really get you much money and the mines, while profitable, tend to plateau.

5. What do you love the most about SV:
I love the atmosphere and music. As simple as the game is, not an insult, the world is very much alive and each character has meaning instead of being a random NPC. I also really enjoy the 16-bit art style as it gives me waves of nostalgia to my early days with the SNES and Genesis. The music though, that's the hook that draws me in 100%!

My queen will always be Abigail as I can identify with her quirks rather easily (is that a bad thing?). However, I've discovered a deep affection for Maru and her weirdness :D

Abigail for virtually all playthroughs except this most recent one with Maru.

Emily.

I don't really like any specific animal as I've only recently started dabbling with farm animals.

20. What is your SV wish for future updates?
I wouldn't mind an expansion that leads into more of the countryside and eventually Zuzu City. There are mods for PC out there that do this and they are some of my favorites, but I'd really like to have that available for console as well.

If you go to bed at the same time as your spouse, I'd like to see some commentary, like: "try not to snore," "yikes, cold feet!" "don't let the bed bugs bite you"
"sweet dreams, sweetheart," "Ew, take off your backpack before getting into bed." If this commentary was really cute, fewer farmers would be staying out past 10 P.M. just
so that they could enjoy the interaction with their spouse more.

1. How long have you been playing?
Steam tells me I bought Stardew in 2018. I have logged about 1345 hours on the game, though I will admit that some of that time was paused because I had to eat or something.

2. Briefly describe your Farmer:
She is me. I do not put much thought into this.

3. Briefly describe one of your farms:
I'm really enjoying the beach farm right now. I have my animals kind of in the middle of things, my crops on the dirt patch, and a bunch of fish ponds north of the dirt patch. I also have a "grow tons of trees" area at the southern end of the map before the bridge to Cindersap Forest.

4. What was/is the biggest game challenge for you?
Fishing was sooooo hard for me at first. Then I got the feel for it, and it's become one of the best ways for me to make money early on. The consistent challenge I have is continuing my farms past the "okay, I have most stuff I need now" point . . . I get a little bored and want the fun of starting over again.

5. What do you love the most about SV:
It's so flexible. You can play however you want and the game does not punish you for it.

6. Favorite Bachelor/Bachelorette:
Shane is pretty consistently my favorite, as he's very similar to my RL husband in terms of the combination of anxious and depressed, but also very lovey and kind to animals and small children personality. I also have a lot of sympathy for the character because I know what it's like to be stuck in a crap life situation , trying to pull yourself out of clinical depression.

7. Current Spouse:
In my newest game, I'm going for Harvey. In my next-newest game, I married Elliot for the first time. He kind of irritates me because he's so . . . verbose . . . but the personality that comes through underneath is generally very sweet.

8. Most Underrated Bachelor/Bachelorette:
I really don't know. Every spouse seems to have at least some supporters here on the forum!

9. Favorite Non-Marriage NPC:
Gus. Gus is just a kind person, and I get his "show caring through feeding people" thing.

10. Favorite Bachelor/Bachelorette Theme Song:
I have not paid enough attention to answer this.

11. Favorite SV Animal?
The standard white chicken. It's so very cute.

12. Favorite Spring product/produce?
Kale. I like the color. Also, there is something satisfying about harvesting it with the scythe.

13. Favorite Summer product/produce?
Tomatoes. These are also one of my favorite summer fruits in real life. (Yeah, you heard me, Robin--fruit!)

14. Favorite Fall product/produce?
Amaranth, again because I like the color and the harvesting.

15. Favorite Winter product/produce?
Hooray for winter roots! Though it's a toss up between them and crystal fruit. I would like to try a crystal fruit.

I like the area right in front of the Adventurer's Guild next to the mountain lake. I don't really know why. It just seems like a pleasant place to sit.

I can't really decide that . . . there are things I like about all of them.

Quite a while. I've only played on switch, and been playing since Version 1.2 - I apparently have just over 1000 hours logged into the game too, but I'm sure a lot of that is idle time where I've paused the game to work on dinner or some such but wanted the music to continue for the ambiance

2. Briefly describe your Farmer:

Um. Which one? I will say they have green hair half of the time, whether male or female, so I guess that's a common enough trait. Usually as pale as Abigail too.

3. Briefly describe one of your farms:

Only one? Nah.

Funny Farm is a former all-arounder standard farm that turned into a slime hutch fortress.
Old Orchard Farm is a forest farm that slowly turned into nothing but fruit trees and flowers.
Seaform Farm is a riverside farm that is nearly all fish ponds, with tea bushes bordering nearly every available inch of shoreline and one island dedicated to honey production.
Fleecy Farm is a hillside farm full of sheep and windmills.
Ducksworth Farm is a beach farm dedicated to housing a current population of 48 ducks, more expected later when I'm more inspired.
Lorewood Farm is a four corners farm that is still pretty well rounded, but has the northwest quadrant dedicated to nothing but mushroom trees.

4. What was/is the biggest game challenge for you?

Actually focusing on anything for more than 3 in-game days in a row.

5. What do you love the most about SV:

It's ability to suck me in and engross me, even after all this time.

Dionsaur. They're just cute. Ostriches are pretty nifty too, but the classic cows/chickens are always good for a pleasant vibe as well.

Amaranth. A field of Amaranth looks so purply and pretty. Pumpkin is a close second.

The cindersap area where spring onions spawn. I like to fill this area with extra oak/maple trees with tappers and have more excuses to go down and hang around.

Dance of the Moonlight Jellies. It's the one I attend the most, even when there's no mechanical benefit to doing so.

18. Favorite non-farming item/object?

Gourmand statue. I find a lot of these things while looking for stringrays and use them to flack my island shack/houses and kind of like seeing them randomly all over. The marble braziers are pretty snazzy looking too.

19. Favorite SV season:

Winter -> Autumn -> Spring -> Summer


20. What is your SV wish for future updates?

Just more dialogue options/variance. I like talking to the villagers often and seeing new reactions and things pop up. I feel like there is enough "game" otherwise to keep me going and engaged, and nothing makes it feel more samey than encountering the same dialogues X times in a row.

Besides that, maybe a way to get your spouse to move into the Ginger Island farm shack with you for a while? It always seems weird to me that Haley likes going there on her own and raves about it so much while there. Wouldn't she be dying to just crash there for a week with you on request (or just stay forever lol)?

In my current farm I made me farmer Noelle from Genshin Impact. Even in this universe, she finds herself visiting the adventure guild and fighting too many slimes.

2. Briefly describe your Farmer: I usually just leave my farmer with the default look
3. Briefly describe one of your farms: Standard Farm covered with all the iridium sprinklers is generally what I aim for
4. What was/is the biggest game challenge for you? getting to grips with fishing took some effort, but I'm reasonably decent now
5. What do you love the most about SV: Big farms and doing things to extreme, such as fastest or most money etc. The friendship/marriage thing doesn't interest me at all

7. Current Spouse: only ever married Shane, and that's only because he's the fastest for speedrunning marriage

I've been playing since 2018...or around that time since I discovered fanfiction soon after starting to play.

2. Briefly describe your Farmer:
She is an introvert, does not socialize too much. Present farmer has Japanese background. Has some workaholic tendencies (on her first day on the farm she collapses from exhaustion and had to be "rescued" by someone and taken to the clinic. Fifty gold later...

3. Briefly describe one of your farms:
I'm using the four corners farm for a little bit of everything. The area where the quarry is I'm making a small orchard (my peach tree sapling is not growing unfortunately :( )

4. What was/is the biggest game challenge for you?
Originally it was fishing but after practicing with a controller, it got easier. Now my big challenge is getting over my phobia of monsters (got traumatized by watching Godzilla movies at age 6).

Music, hands down. Also that I can do whatever I want - screw the deadline

I'm a little late to the party but I really want to do this!

Gaming:
1. How long have you been playing? I first played the game in 2019 with a friend who was visiting, but when she left she took the copy, so I bought it myself in early 2020. I currently have about 400 hours across multiple platforms.
2. Briefly describe your farmer: She's a dirty-blonde with a flower in her hair who wears blue shorts and what resembles a green tank top. I'd like to think that I made her to resemble myself, but have now found that she's way cooler than I am.
3. Briefly describe one of your farms: My main farm in a standard farm which I'm currently remodelling. Sometimes I wish it was a hilltop farm, but I make it work.
4. What was/is the biggest game challenge for you? I would have to say that the biggest challenge was finding all 50 Pepper Rex in the skull cavern. It wasn't super hard, but it definitely was a challenge given how long it took.
5. What do you love the most about SDV? 100% the ability to create and be part of a big community. SDV offers an escape like no other game, I guess is how I could word it.

6. Favourite Bachelor/Bachelorette: Definitely Elliott.
7. Current Spouse: It's Elliott.
8. Most underrated Bachelor/Bachelorette: I actually would have to say Maru. I think she's really cool and sweet, but I've never had her as my spouse. Maybe in a future file?
9. Favourite non-marriage NPC: Sandy. I love her energy and the way she talks. I wish that she lived in the Valley or was a marriage NPC, but for now, I think she's the best the way she is.
10. Favourite Bachelor/Bachelorette Theme Song: Elliott's theme, mainly because I personally love to play it on the piano. I think it's a beautiful little melody.

11. Favourite SDV animal? Tie between the ducks and the ostriches. They both seem to have so much personality.
12. Favourite Spring produce/product? Tulips. They're my favourite flower in the game.
13. Favourite Summer produce/product? Rainbow Shell. They're pretty and when you first start, they bring in the $$$.
14. Favourite Fall produce/product? (And my all time favourite crop): Cranberries.
15. Favourite Winter produce/product? I strongly detest winter (both in real life and in game) but if I had to pick, I would say the Snow Yam because of its description.

16. Favourite Place outside your farm? The Calico Desert (the music gives me a real SNES/N64 vibe if you know what I mean, and I love that) and the Mountain lake islands.
17. Favourite Festival/Holiday? Feast of the Winter Star, which I just call Christmas. I love the whole idea of the secret Santa!
18. Favourite non-farming item/object? Movie posters. It's such a great collectors thing! I would also have to say the Fedora, my horse rocks it.
19. Favourite SDV Season: Spring because it's the furthest from winter.

20. What is your SDV wish for future updates? I have a few. The main ones are: 1. Lemon, lime and pear trees. 2. Toddlers growing up more, and 3. More dialogue for spouses, and maybe a new event for them.

2. Briefly describe your Farmer:
She tends to her duties on the farm, but would rather be out exploring Nature. She loves her animals and likes to make and share new recipes.
3. Briefly describe one of your farms:
Always a work in progress. Most of the actual gardening takes place in the greenhouse or by the junimos. A colony of cute little houses, each landscaped differently and everything is fenced in by tea bushes. Several fish ponds surrounded by cement walkways and all those owl sculptures.
4. What was/is the biggest game challenge for you?
Not getting carried away with making money. Days when all the casks of ancient fruit wine go iridium and I've made 100 cups of espresso. Then I become all about throwing as much stuff into the bin as I can. It's great to see the next day money count, but it stinks when I threw away something I needed. I do this all the time.
5. What do you love the most about SV:
I can play the game the way I want to, and you can play the game the way you want to. And we're both playing it right.

6. Favorite Bachelor/Bachelorette:
Bachelor, Sebby. I think out of all the NPC's he sound the most sincere.
Bachelorette, Haley. She really comes around later in the game and ends up being so likable.

I'm a single gal.
8. Most Underrated Bachelor/Bachelorette:
Bachelor, Elliott. Living by the beach, he's off the grid. You don't get to know a lot about him unless you pursue him. He's either deeper than he comes off or not as deep as he comes off. Hard to tell.
Bachelorette, again Haley. She's probably the most popular and at the same time, my underrated. Her character ends up being pretty complex and well rounded. Yet, we don't yet know a lot about her personal life. I think from day one, she's been more sensitive than she let's on.
9. Favorite Non-Marriage NPC:
I like Willy. He likes to fish, he likes to talk about fishing, and he likes to tell you why he likes to fish. Oh, and that cute little kick he does to close the plank when he takes you to Ginger Island.

4. What was/is the biggest game challenge for you? Completing the museum was the biggest thing to date. I finally completed that 18 RL days ago. Year 8.
5. What do you love the most about SV: Relaxed game play with self satisfaction of being a successful farmer. It's my most relaxing game that I play.

1. How long have you been playing? Since it came out, whenever that was.
2. Briefly describe your Farmer: Current farmer is Vlad, who has bone white skin, red hair and eyes, and wears a suit as he runs Cryptic Farms.
3. Briefly describe one of your farms: Of the farms I've kept going post-CC, I've had a Maple Syrup (or is that May-pal Serrup?) farm, a standard Ancient Fruit Winery, and a Pig / Truffle Farm.
4. What was/is the biggest game challenge for you? Actually remembering things like to check if it's someone's Birthday, or to water the crops, or to check the board on Mondays, or worst of all, remembering to catch the Queen of Sauce on Sundays. It just seems like there's always something that slipped through the cracks.
5. What do you love the most about SV: Everything? It can be a very chill game with great character, atmosphere, and story in it. Or it can be an optimization challenge. It supports a variety of playstyles very well, and is overall just an exceptional game.

6. Favorite Bachelor/Bachelorette: It's Abigail, for sure. Just based on personality and interests. Runner Up is Leah, and they're all good in their own right.
7. Current Spouse: No current spouse, not planning on one this time around. Was thinking I'd go in a different direction - get all the villagers to 10 hearts, and then get someone else (of the other two options) on the farm instead. Seems the most fitting for the character.
8. Most Underrated Bachelor/Bachelorette: Impossible to say, because to know how underrated something is, I need to know how it's rated :-) Probably Leah, Abigail gets plenty of love but relatively few folks seems to see as much in Leah as I do, and she's the only one who builds you a freaking statue, so that's got to count for something, right?
9. Favorite Non-Marriage NPC: The Wizard. Let's be real, without the Wizard the game wouldn't go forward at all. Plus he's got his own stationary, he's a part of the community but apart from it, he sells Obelisks and Junimo huts, he has magic powers, he has mystery, he has it all.
10. Favorite Bachelor/Bachelorette Theme Song: No idea, I can't internally place songs as being associated with people right now. Love the music of SDV in general but no clue.

11. Favorite SV Animal? The Horse, of course! Pigs, Rabbits, Cows, Chickens of all colors are all great, but only one animal gets me around town faster and that's my loyal horse!

19. Favorite SV season: It would be disingenuous to pretend I have one I love significantly more than the others, they're all great in their own right. I'm always sad to see a season go but excited about the next one as well.


20. What is your SV wish for future updates? Conveyor Belts! Please please PLEASE let me link hoppers to machines via Conveyor Belts, put the products in and pull the outputs out for me. Charge me batteries to build them, consume batteries each day to keep them running, whatever you need to do, I'm in. Just give me the Automation Mods in Vanilla!!

My best farm is quite crowded and designed in a witchy and graveyard-y way. It's a fun time.

Fishing, because I have no patience for the fish. Just bite my hook already, ya swimmy lizard thing (why did I describe fish that way)!
