Switch Partners Room Disappeared and Apparently Divorced

I noticed that my partner’s side room is no longer showing. I thought maybe it was a glitch but then I noticed Elliot was not coming back or appearing in the kitchen in the morning. I finally saw him and apparently were no longer together and is my ex-husband. I don’t remember divorcing him. Is there a way I could have accidentally divorced him or is anyone experiencing this?

Were you doing anything in the mayor’s mansion the day before he disappeared?

As Ereo said, you may have accidentally gone into the mayor's manor and paid for your divorce by interacting with one of the books at the top left of his house

It seems you've played for a bit so resetting to the prior day probably won't do anything, but you are able to wipe memory of ex spouses, build up his friendship, and remarry him

Reset to the prior day if that fixes it, otherwise you may just have to rebuild relationship after visiting the Dark Shrine of Memory.

I don’t remember, I don’t think so. I only go in to claim an item with a prize ticket.

I went up to Elliot and he said he was heartbroken lol so that’s when I was like wtfff
