More Weather and other stuff

i would like to see more weather and severe like hurricanes turnarounds and flash floods
if not that new npc and more places to go

On the third or so year living off the land should warn about snow storm then on some days your trapped in house or you need to help towns people out due to storm. (Shoping and stuff!) Hehe that would be cool!

In harvest moon, summer storms destroyed only part of your crop. Could be something like a 5%?

But then, it's kind of like lightning, if you don't have enough lightning rods, your crops can get hit

Destructive weather would be annoying, in my humble opinion. I would love fog, though.

Maybe only if they add a hard mode would there be destructive weather. Along with that stuff like taxes and bills would make a great hard mode.

Only if you can toggle this setting. I personally dont want it, but others may enjoy it.

All for weather related effects on crops as well as other types of weather such as fog, storms, tornados et cetera.

I just noticed this thread after posting my own ideas here. A hurricane event could be interesting, but only if it came with all the lead-up that comes with a normal hurricane. Having it be a surprise event like "today is clear and sunny but tomorrow all hell breaks loose" would be silly.

I envision it as a two-week-long, summer-only event that starts with the weather channel reporting the formation of the initial tropical depression, followed by daily updates of its progress. Daily luck would affect its progression, anywhere from never fully forming to making a bee line for the town. Ginger Island could potentially be in the path, and would be hit first if it was. If the storm comes, it could barely graze the town with some light rain, cause thunderstorms, or even bring hail that destroys most if not all of your crops.
