hello, total modding beginner here, but i have a VISION! 
I am totally planning to make a mod that is fully pokémon themed, but not as in the animals are pokémon, i mean everyone is a pokémon. think mystery dungeon vibes. now the issue; the 16x32 villager sprite size is not fit for most quadrupedal pokémon and I don’t want to limit myself to small humanoids for that reason.
so, as someone with no modding experience, but lots of freetime and decent artistic skills, is there an easy way that allows me to implement bigger sprites? most of them are only a few pixels bigger but at that size every pixel matters, lol.
