Helpers are staff!

Helpers just help spam clean (this is different from banning a member, they're listed as different actions) whenever we get hit with a wave of spammers; they're not tasked to do anything else and they report issues like everyone else does. Currently, we're not looking for more, but we are trying to control a current spam wave and just update all the filters and stuff

We didn't really want them to be that distinguishable from normal members since they're ultimately normal members, they can just wipe new spam if they see it, which is helpful for when any other staff member isn't around
also, something else, why not make it so new members can't post links, once they've posted 20 or so messages they can post a link, any where from 0-19 messages it just doesn't show at all
like thing.com -> (nothing)

That won't work as Mod makers need to post links as well as people who post their smapi error logs when there are mod problems.

Or even more: Allow only smapi.io links and mod links (nexus) in those categories for new users.
yeah, just restrict what links new users can share, and spam won't be as effective, so maybe less people will spam

though then again a bot might just spam random messages to get it's messages up, but then it would be extremely obvious

At one point the bots have to spam text like "oiafhouwehfopjqepiwfhouwehefoipnwihbvqpojwqnprof..." to disrupt us.

At one point before Helpers were a thing, there were a few bots spamming 20, 30, 40 posts at a rate of ~1/min so even limiting post count wouldn't help too much. The real issue when that happened is it were about a dozen accounts doing it simultaneously so we got hit with 1,000+ spam posts during the Europe/Americas overnight so anyone from Asia/Oceania had to deal with it or just do something else until the mess got cleaned up.

A separate issue at that time is there was a pattern to some account creations (which I was tracking for fun [!] at the time) and at one point someone registered about 100 accounts with the same name appended with a serialized number but interestingly only about 1/4 of those accounts started spamming within the next month or two. LOL I think they forgot the passwords for the other 3/4!
