Windows [HELP] Can't Pick Up Hidden Path Golden Walnut

Feels like I have to be missing something. I'm able to follow the path to the four little leafy things, but no matter what I do once I'm there, I can't pick up the walnut. I've tried clicking in the center, on each leaf, around the edges, using various tools, pretty much everything I can think of. In some areas I get the rustling sound effect like I'm clicking on a bush but nothing happens. My save file shows that walnut as uncollected. Is there a trick to picking up this walnut or is this a bug? Really don't want to lose this farm so if there's a way to work around it I'm willing to try just about anything.

Have you confirmed that you got the right location? You can see your position with a glow ring or by using the fishing rod.

There's no trick to it, you could be able to pick it up without tools

I do have a glow ring equipped and also used my fishing rod to confirm I'm in the right spot. It seems to just be actually picking the walnut up that's the issue :(
